I don't read to much into paper talk, It's usually a load of bollix. I go by what SSN say as they are usually accurate.
Levy is bidding for players in June.
Be happy about that.
Didn't expect anything else sadly. Levy seems to think the rules of game don't apply to him. Sadly he's living in the past. As Liverpool proved, identify the players you need that will make you better and pay the price.
For right or wrong, even chelsea, while facing a transfer ban were able to apply a bit of forward thinking by signing Pulisic knowing Hazard was always going.
The stadium and training ground etc are all great but if you expect to compete at the top end of the Prem/ CL: its about spending big money on top players..... If you're not moving forward, you're standing still...... That's Levy

Much like Liverpool, I honestly think we are close to winning something. Even losing Eriksen, I think if we could sign Lo Celso, N'Dombele & AWB it could have the same impact that VVD etc had on them.
We are not a million miles away, sadly I suspect once this window ends we'll be left with same old obvious flaws in the squad and that's down to Levy

I have to admit Edward I think SSN spout nonsense 24/7. They are one outlet I take zero notice of. Each to their own though I suppose. In fact most of the rubbish that comes from the media and TV is what it is, total nonsense. BBC are usually the best of a bad bunch in my book. Until I actually see any player in a Spurs shirt, I take very little notice of all the rumours.

I personally think it's going to take a couple of big transfers to happen elsewhere to take place before we show our hand.
E.g. If and when Real Madrid finally announce Hazard, will they then go for Pogba? Which probably means they won't go for Eriksen, which probably means we won't for Lo Celso etc.
I do agree though, we should certainly be testing the market at this point for players who we know we need/want regardless of sales, e.g. our Dembele/Llorente replacements.
Now we are being linked with Julian Draxler?
I know you don't care about finances because we "want to see our team win" but Daniel Levy has just bid £53m for Lo Celso and followed it up with £60m when it got rejected. If that's being tight then you're being too critical of Levy.
So what if a player has release clause of £110m or whatever fantasy numbers they have. It doesn't mean you meet that instantly or even at all.

Sorry but you’re 20 odd points back.
Losing Toby and Eriksen is 2 starters that need replacing, plus your be looking for at least 2-3 starters to improve the team
That’s a lot of change, good luck with that.
Top 4 looks safe though as frankly arsenal, Utd, and Chelsea are absolute poverty.
