Tomori should be loaned or sold, the profile of defender that Villa want in defence could be a sensible move for him (if they don't re-sign Tuanzebe).
Got better options with higher ceiling on the books.
Also homegrown quota won't be a problem at all, without Tomori. Ample.
I'd rather Ampadu (who Frank actively wanted to sign twice last season) stay & play dual roles in defence & midfield.
More than enough matches to spread the gametime.
Does it look Increasingly likely that frank will be our next manager?
Havnt seen anything to suggest this at all
Just gutter journos and sky bet using sky sports news to increase money on lampard
Homegrown/u21: Loftus-Cheek, Barkley, Ampadu,Hudson-Odoi, Christensen, Abraham, Mount Reece James.
u21: Pulisic
The state of play.
I've only mentioned the ones that are widely rumored to be in the squad, under Frank & Morris.
Homegrown (up in the air): Drinkwater, Jay Dasilva, Tomori, Lewis Baker.
I also think that Tomori has a bright future - but there's no need to rush him back to Chelsea for the coming season with Luiz, Rudiger, Christensen and Zouma likely to be the 4 central defenders. I suspect that Luiz and Rudiger are in pole positions for the first choice pairing (assuming a central 2), so at least for this coming year Tomori would probably be better off getting first team experience somewhere else than sitting on the bench at Chelsea.
It's possible that he's as good as Zouma, and you could argue that we would get a decent fee if we sell Zouma right now. But we can't spend it for a year anyway, so there doesn't seem much point. Might as well give Tomori a chance to get some good experience away from Chelsea, and see how he's doing in another year.
