Most of what you’ve typed/pasted is in this article here⬆️
Ndombele saying he’ll decide when he gets back from holiday (so July). Lo Celso at Copa America. Sessegnon at U21’s. No bidders for Eriksen or Toby.
We are in total limbo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, from https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/spurs-live-alderweireld-ndombele-sessegnon-16437702
Just trying to sum up the situation, for anyone who may have missed this article for folks here
There seems to be total lack of any news from the club so I though to update anyone who might want to know.
Taking time...
I mean this transfer saga is dragging on...
The thing is with JA606, is that I always come here first for any transfer news...not sure why

Yeah Alasdair Gold is the Spurs journo for Football London. The only Spurs Journo I really pay any attention to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yes, me too
He talks sensibly and is aware of club related stuff
If you look at Spurs situation , it is a mess. Let me say why:
1. Eriksen is he going or not? the answer is DEPENDS on a other clubs
2. Alderwereild, same as above. Waiting on someone triggering the release clause.
3. Rose situation with club being interested in Sessignon?
4. Tripper is he going or not?
5. Dier will he be here?
6. Poch is he going or not?
Big questions and trust me, this situation does not help fans feel anymore relaxed about the club handlings

I understand everyone's concerns, but I do think that we owe it to the club to give them the necessary time.
I know this is about Spurs and Spurs only, but let's just for a second compare our situation with the teams around us.
Chelsea have lost their best player by far and have just lost their Manager.
Arsenal have no CL to offer and by all accounts not much money to play around with, plus having the likes of Ozil on £300,000 per week.
Man Utd have just had Pogba come out and say that he wants a new challenge, so they have to go through negotiations with him, have no CL to offer, a completely unproven Manager and many sub standard players, just take a look at their board on here to see how many players their fans want out.
I know there's not much football on at the moment so the talk will inevitably be about transfers, and I know what is said on here by all of us matters not a jot. But there's no point losing your hair over us not doing any business by 17th June!
It’s very very simple - Levy funds some quality signings this window and we move onto project 2.0. Levy lets Poch down and he’s gone next time Madrid come calling.
==================
You say it's simple, I'd say not when it is Levy involved
Nothing is simple with Levy
As if any transfer is straight forward when Daniel Levy is involved.

Only City is immune...They have a war chest the size of Europe
And no, they don't buy glory
tbh I am not concerned about other clubs...
I have mentioned them in the context of reply to what was mentioned prior.

Absolutely, and it would be great if we could improve as much as Liverpool did between the season they just had and the one previous, but that would take some doing.
All of the other teams I mentioned (Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea) would say that they are looking to compete with Liverpool and Man City too. We even actually finished below one of them last season (granted, our CL run probably had a lot to do with that. But that team also had the Europa League to contend with, they won it!).

========================
I don;t think tbh Arsenal are saying they are trying to compete with Liverpool and City.
They are trying to compete with us and Chelsea
Btw, the Europa league run is a lot easier than CL runs
Cannot blame us for being anxious in the transfer window we have reason to be.
Trippier is now being pursued by...Juve
Hasn't Sarri seen him play?
Have we tried offering Eriksen another contract?
I suppose it's not as simple as offering him an improved contract and if he declines it then we sell?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
According to one of the articles I have read, apparently we have put on the table a fresh new contract for Eriksen, which equals Harry Kane's in terms of money.
I'm not expecting anything to happen quickly, it will probably be at least well into July before we sign a player. And we all know how 'Last Minute Levy' likes to operate.

If that's true we should set Eriksen a deadline to make a decision on it. If he's committed enough to us he'll give us a decision and take the contract. If not then look to sell.
