I can't believe that on the back of an incredible third successive treble that there's so much negativity surrounding the club.
It looks like we will be going into the CL qualifiers with Ralston at RB and Hayes at LB. We're probably one injury or suspension away from playing Hendry at CB.
Chances are we will muddle through but by the time the really tough ties come along we will either be in the same boat or have new players who haven't had time to settle in.
Then there's the possibility of at least one big player leaving towards the end of the window. Eduard perhaps? I could just picture us having only Griffiths and Bayu to call upon when the season gets into full swing.
Please prove me wrong Celtic.

This is just hammering the club at every God given opportunity ffs.
We have missed out on McGinn as is abundantly clear but less of the kidding on that we all knew he was going to be such an influential player as he has? That's nothing short of imaginations running wild. The whole world and his dog believed he was coming to us and we made what at the time was a reasonable offer. Villa moved quicker and offered more in every aspect and more importantly in terms of his personal compensation but also on a bigger stage. It's easy in hindsight to say we should have been quicker or offered more. We didn't and we've missed out. It happens.
Less than a year on and now we're bidding top dollar and preparing a very lucrative wage packet for a player nowhere near the level or experience of McGinn and tbh nobody here batted an eyelid about until we showed interest. Now he's the next best thing we've missed out on eh? ffs give me peace.
The club offered that much in the first place because of the McGinn saga so it's reasonable to suggest they are doing what they can to appease the fans and to show that maybe they've learned from their mistakes.
He and his agents have turned us down for an even bigger package. In Scottish football he's simply not worth that level of risk as there is no way he'd be the next game changer for us with all likelihood he'd be on the bench most weeks as we've enough cover in there.
The club again get slaughtered so they try and demonstrate (not very well admittedly) that they did pull out all reasonable stops to get him. Result? Slaughtered again.
fwcking mind bending all this continual negativity.
I'm no happy clapper and the whole club deserve crtiscism for not addressing our defensive frailties but equally as we have qualifiers fast approaching, to all other leagues they have just finished and do have time on their hands to complete deals. Our diary is of no concern to them whatsoever and players will come and go before the season starts proper and more clubs, agents and players want to talk.
Let's at least have some perspective over this Turnbull and what happened with McGinn ffs

Thing is that nobody believes we will behave any differently though.
And to be brutal about it; why should we?
Sometimes it is better to take a step back and take time to assess things before acting. The exception to this of course is the ongoing and frustrating defensive issues we have had and still appear to have.
In so saying didn't we lose the least amount of goals in the league last season?

I don't think any Celtic fans have convinced themselves that we'll definitely get all the players we need in.
But I am convinced that they will try and I don't see the point in sticking the boot in on a daily basis.
I do expect us to go into Europe without most of the players we need, coz most of the club's/player's we need will wait the window out to get the best deal, it's not ideal but it's reality.
I'd rather we got the right player at the end of August than panic and get a lesser player now.
Hopefully this year we will be luckier with injuries at that time of the year.
