Splashing the cash that he has made through player sales, tv money, champions league and more? We earn our money mate now jog on.
Mbappe will be going to Real Madrid if he leaves PSG.
Do you have any players on release clauses? If so I'd be careful about approaching Mbappe, you know what happened to Barca when they tried to play Billy big ballacks with PSG.
FSG don't do release clauses.
Even if there was one pre existing they dont care.. ask Arsenal about that.
About Klopp abandoning so called principles, that's good.
Shows he is not dogmatic in the way Fergie chose Moyes to follow him.
When did klopp say he never wants to spend any money at all? Do you mean he said he doesn't want it to be only about buying players in every position for massive fees
Couldn’t care less whether Klopp changed his mind and sold his principles off down the river. I’m a Liverpool fan, not a Klopp fan. I want the money the clubs makes to be reinvested in the team so I’m pretty happy he’s spending big.
I hate it when managers take a pragmatic approach to something, like going against your principles, for the benefit of the club. The sooner this sort of thing is stamped out of the game the better.
You either pay the going rate for the right players, in this case VVD, Fabinho, Alisson or you pay less for players who are not good enough to win trophies. That’s why there has been a drought at Anfield, too many players brought in and not enough quality.
I think it’s the owners who have changed their principals as much as Klopp and thank god for that, I was very critical of them at the start but fair play they understand that they had to pay big individual transfer fees to compete. I hope we see a similar policy this summer.
As for Klopp, not only has he done well with the big money players, he’s also developed Origi, Robertson, TAA, Matip etc into top class players, the opposition fans must be so jealous, I’m enjoying reading their comments.
Great times ahead for Liverpool and 6x big ears in the bag!!!!!!!!

As has been explained to you before, they were unable to spend this sort of money in the beginning due to FFP and poor income. They sorted the income side out which enabled us to invest better. They haven't changed their principles, they've stuck by the plan and are now reaping the rewards.

That's good of him that he's changed his opinion based on new information. Klopp probably naively thought he could have challenged for the title by penny pinching but after a couple of years of Karius, Klavan etc making mistake after mistake he realized he overestimated his own ability and acted accordingly, signs of a top manager for me.
Too many people (*cough*Wenger*cough*) stagnate because they stubbornly stick to their "principles" even when it's clearly not working.

Context is key.
Soon as Neymar and Mbappe moved the market changed. Liverpool spent within their means to buy players they needed.
I don't think many people would argue losing Suarez and Coutinho seemed like Pool would have a bad patch. To strengthen as they have is pretty impressive.
Klopps point I feel was they won't spend for the sake of spending and all the signings look shrew investments now.
Klopp has added insane value to the squad.
The fact that I'm reading Leicester want 80 million for an average CB, and the fact they just won the CL, shows they didn't do much wrong Imo
They hardly did a Leeds and spent what they didn't have
I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't buy anyone this summer. Neither has Jurgen 'sold his position down the river'.
All we need is back-up for now. My view is that we need to be promoting from within. There's lots and lots of youth talent in the club, all itching I'm sure to get a crack at the first squad, and hopefully that's where Jurgen's first port of call will be.
I'd be gutted if that happened, would just be resting on our laurels
"I don't think many people would argue losing Suarez and Coutinho seemed like Pool would have a bad patch. To strengthen as they have is pretty impressive."
They did have a bad patch after they sold Suarez.
They fell to 6th, 8th and needed a season out of Europe to claim back 4th.

No. We went for quality, ie Sanchez to replace Suarez. He chose Arsenal instead. It was more difficult to buy quality then as we had been out of the CL for a while. Players preferred other clubs.
