Actually think pogba might be a great choice as director of Facebook for us. Or Lingard as a deputy.
Changed it from dof then rdd?

Think there is more to it than that mate. Unless the city version was a boyhood City fan.
A director of football is a senior management figure at an association football team most commonly in Europe.
The presence of a director of football acts as an intermediary between the manager and the board and may relieve pressure on a manager by handling aspects away from day-to-day coaching, allowing a manager to focus on on-pitch performance. The director may also help to stabilise the club – many examples exist of director stepping in as a caretaker manager on the departure of the manager. The director – often an experienced football figure – may also positively advise a less experienced manager or the board of a less well developed club.
In contrast, there are many examples of tensions arising between director and manager, often due to questions over the remit and powers of the two positions; particularly with regard to control over transfer policy. This had led to many well publicised and often, highly damaging disputes within clubs.
In general, directors of football are not shareholders in the club, or hold a nominal stake. This is opposed to other members of the board with whom the director of football will sit.

Because it will vary depending on how each club wants to set up. There isn’t a one size fits all approach to it, it’s more about making sure whoever the whole backro team is clear on accountabilities and aligned on the plan rather than needing to define more generally what each role is.
A good DoF?
Preferably one who can keep the paying fans distracted enough to allow me to secure a private mortgage on the sly with 393,000 Class B ordinary shares.

Melton, you're a decent chap. Don't waste your time.
Plenty have told him what you said. They have also given examples of what they think a DOF at United should do. I have done so, and even answered his questions when he took issues with parts of it (leading him to ask the same questions several times).
Now most think Woodward is just looking for a yes man who could take on the flak that he and Judge are taking at the moment. There doesn't seem to be any look at style of play, recruitment strategy or any other things being discussed. We have lurched from one style to a other with signings to match.
For success to happen, we need someone with a long term look who doesn't prioritises the commercial sides of things over the football side of things.
We have read that Woodward and Judge cannot do multiple transfers at a time and put others on hold to get AWB done. Does that seem like a competent model at a top club?
But who has suggested the backroom staff arent clear on accountabilities ?
And what plan are you talking about?
Gary Neville on United.
"There are a lot of talented people at Manchester United on the recruitment side. There are a lot of people with world-class CVs but the end result is that players are coming in and it is not gelling.
So Gary Neville is placing the blame on Woodward?

Are you sure? It's not like you to take what people say and not put your own twist on them.
