I honestly have no idea.

I think one NYC session last year broke through the 400 mark but we are not really sure on that or where or how it happened other than empty wallets(literally empty) and a cash point receipt for $200. I don't leave for NYC without a couple of hundred in my pocket either. Bus is 45 bucks. Ubers in the city add up as well and we always start around 1 or 2 pm. I have been known to lose money so that is a possibility, my mates likes to leave his cards at bars instead

Have gotten a cab from London to Southampton a few times, agreed a fee of 175 quid one time, split two ways and no idea what the other cost but the cabbie, Somalian naturally didn't want to wake us so took a wrong turn to Portsmouth instead of Southampton which was great

How much is a pint in the UK these days anyway?

Drink quite a bit of doubl voddy and red bull as the evening progresses which can be pricey in the wrong bar.

Kansas was cheap as feck though, 50 bucks was about right but that was in a massive University town with happy hours all over the place.

Dunno why anyone would pay that mind when you can get a pint of San Miguel for around £2.99-£3.29 in Wethy’s

Fat caaaant

I guess my average weekend night used to come in at somewhere between £60 and £100.

Now, try as hard as I might, I rarely break EUR20 (which tbf buys 20 bottles of beer).

Ah, those staggeringly unromantic Portuguese cafes, with a TV in the top corner, a stone floor and plastic Coke Zero tables!

In some shady bars up here they do a house vodka and a pint for £4.50, it would be rude not to?

posted on 1/7/19

In the nearest town to me you can get a pint for less than £2 in Wetherspoons or £2.20 in some pubs or you could go to a bit more upmarket wine bar and spend around £4.80 a pint. Don't tend to drink there. For me it's the company rather than the venue that's important.

Double voddy and red bull is the most erratically priced drink ever, it can literally range from like 8 bucks to 20 bucks a hit.

Because Wetherspoons is absolute crap where the lowest of the low frequent. Spent hours moaning at my mates in Wetherspoons on Friday but there weren't listening as it was £2.60 a pint. £20 later I was waking up the next morning on my sofa.

Wetherspoon's are the pits. I used to love how the old fella day drinkers still on the way home with the morning groceries would give it large on a Friday Eve when the young pups would come in to get the evening rolling.

Who pays for hooookers and strippers?

Where I live we have a big Turkish community so you get great Turkish food, as a takeaway a lamb shish wrap with all the trimmings are the best. The gyros I’ve had in Greece don’t compare, they always seem to wanna out cold chips inside, I’ve heard they do the same in Turkey too. I think the kebab in Britain has evolved from the German Kebab which has more meat than the ones you get in Turkey/Greece.

Also if you’re poor you can’t beat a lamachun, which is a sort of rolled Turkish pizza. Freshly made thin dough with mince meat on top cooked quickly in an oven then topped up and rolled with loads of fresh veg, usually only cost about £1.50.

Capprinas in Rio cost 2 Real which is about a quid and is just vodka, lime, sugar and ice. Was hammered on a fiver in about 10 mins although it wore off quickly for some reason. Still bloody ridiculously cheap compared to England's prices.

Food is probably crap but I don’t eat there

Crap people? Didn’t you spend Friday night there last week with your mates?

Well it must be better in the one you go to. The ones I go to the beer isn't great. Especially the Guinness which is what I usually drink when I go to pubs. Food is rubbish, done in a microwave.

Yes I did and the atmosphere was crap, as it usually is, as the people are crap. Old drunk women, young idiots fighting, ch avs everywhere. The crappy cheap drink and the crappy atmosphere is a recipe for the rift raff.

I spent the night complaining to go somewhere else but one guy was afraid of what his missus might say should he not stay in the place he said he would meet her, another wanted the cheap drink and the other was happy to side with the majority. The guy who was afraid of his missus went home with her early, naturally but by that stage I had forgot I wanted to go somewhere else as I was wasted so the three of us stayed until we got thrown out. As the night wore on, the older the average age became and the more drunk pensioners appeared.

I'll not agree to that crap again. I only agreed as I thought it was going for some cheap drinks before hitting somewhere else, then the fecks got comfortable.

Spoons can be great, no one goes there for the food, it’s probably the only place in London where you will get a real mix of clientele in age, race, seex and class.

The owner might be a bit of a pillock but doesn’t mean the clientele are. My local Spoons which is also the longest running spoons is in a nice building, with no music so you can have a good laugh with your mates.
