He has played a narrow 3 before, which would work well with Gray, Vardy and Perez.

I actually think Perez will compliment Vardy well. He gets little service at Newcastle but he has shown glimpses of of a very good player.

£30m is just a sign of the times, too much but I think he will be shown to be a good signing.

Agreed, will do well for them under Rodgers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Considering the way Rodgers tends to line up, I can only see them playing together when Leicester play 3 at the back. If he plays his 4-2-3-1 then you can't get Vardy, Maddison and Perez in the same team unless you push Perez wide.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think he'll play wide at times, come on when needed alongside Vardy if pushing for a goal or replacing Vardy altogether if he's not playing well, injured, or generally going through a dry patch.

Having backup options like him will be the difference between pushing the likes of us and Arsenal, and finishing the top of the others like Everton or Wolves.

Ieanacho or whatever his name is isn't good enough.

Good signing

Why? Football isn't won and lost based on the rigid formations SS show us, most teams have a formation on the ball and off the ball.

Perez might be for stupid money, but it's a reflection on just how few good strikers there actually are in the market

If its taking Leicester until next week to potentially secure the deal it would also take United that long, surely?

Really? So why do Arsenal fans think Zaha is only worth £40m?

BK, our approach to the midfield is always going to be dependent on Pogba. He’s our best player and star name. It’s all well and good saying go get those two anyway, but then we have three number 8’s that aren’t known to be the best on the defensive side of the game, added to a bloated central area that includes the likes of Matic, Fred, McTominay and the options to use Mata, Lingard, Gomes and Garner.

We need a big squad but that is overkill. I’d actually be more concerned if the club weren’t making transfer plans around the future of Pogba, because he’s so crucial to how we set up.

If Lingard is upset at being behind Pogba, Tielemans and Fernandes then he knows where the door is.

"If it were me I'd go and get Fernandes & Tielemens over the line early doors. If Pogba stays you've now got some genuine quality in depth. If he goes we've already replaced him."

We only have so many places in the squad, and only so much money to spend.

If we signed Fernandes & Tielemens, we'd be left with maybe 8 players for two positions and still lacking a quality holding midfielder.

Make no mistake, we have to shift players before bringing in the players Ole will want.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We have Matic and Fred who can sit in front - we need better, but for now I imagine they will share the role.

The other players like McTominay, Gomes, Garner etc... could be loaned out to make space if needs be.

according to reports he would prefer a move to utd and is holding out for that

Sorry mate, doesn’t look like United are in for him. John Percy is usually spot on, he’s looking to return with Leicester for pre season training

In terms of squad space, we’ll have to make room for AWB, James, Rashford (will have to be registered for the first time), Tuanzebe and TFM. McT was registered last season.

Fellaini, Valencia and Herrera have gone, so that’s three out, five in.

We already have to shift two players off the books before any more players join assuming Tuanzebe and TFM get squad spaces.

Greenwood, Garner, Gomes, Chong and Levitt don’t need to be registered.

Perez is versatile so I’d imagine he’ll get games in quite a few positions. I’m sure all three will play together quite a bit. Albrighton, Barnes and Gray are their wide options so the competition is great out wide.

Oh and Ghezzal.

Rosso,

There's a good chance Tuanzebe & TFM will be off on loan again, and some of the youngsters could maybe do with a loan, too (Garner, Chong, Levitt). And we're surely going to sell a couple of players too (Darmian, Rojo, Lukaku, Sanchez?).

Jesus what were we thinking signing him......

That he was the next Mahrez I think.

BK, Ole’s already earmarked some of the youth players to play in the Europa. So it’s unlikely they’ll be going out on loan.

I’d be surprised if we loaned Tuanzebe back out with his potential and after his performances last season and Ole’s words. I’m not sure TFM will get a squad spot.

One or both of Lukaku and Sanchez may go out on loan. There’s no way we’ll be able to sell Sanchez I don’t think.
