Dunno, but whatever it is it brings me out in hives.
I can’t wait for the football to start either!

Are people entitled to an opinion or are they not?
That's the question for me.
Too often currently we just insult those who disagree with us, its appalling in this country now, be it Brexiteers vs remainers, labour v Tory etc. Not saying I'm innocent here.
Yes. If you can’t tolerate intolerant people you are intolerant by definition.
How long until the footy is back on.

Are people entitled to an opinion or are they not?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Legally they should be as long as it's not a direct threat. Hate speech is free speech. Socially however, people/companies should feel free to shun those who preach hate and make them social outcasts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really focussing on the legality of it here, more what's deemed socially acceptable.
The abuse a religious person gets when they disagree with gay marriage is a prime example. Are they not entitled to their religious views whether or not we agree with them?
"Are they not entitled to their religious views whether or not we agree with them?"
Of course they are entitled to their views, they can even express them and act on them within the law.
But they need to accept that people may not appreciate their views and may also act accordingly. Again within the law.
There's no right to being anti-social, but you're welcome to do it as long as you accept the consequences.

The consequences being insults rather than reasoned debate.
Therein lies the problem for me.
Not necessarily. Probably depends on the location of the debate, if you do it on-line you have to expect the rought with the smooth.

Do you think reasoned debate still exists amongst the general population? I always feel like it's losing out to insults and anger these days, online or not.
People are so utterly belligerent in their beliefs to the point where we hear "sick of experts" from campaigners.
is a religion still the same religion if you start changing what is acceptable for that religion

Everyone is entitled to religious views of course. Best just to keep them bottled up in their silly deluded heads though.

Depends how you deliver that opinion about gay marriage. Things like refusing to write something on a cake are daft. Whilst the likes of them Westboro Baptist nutcases making inflammatory placards and screaming at gay men deserve abuse.
Anyone that anti gay likes the D.

We have at least stopped actually burning people just because one person suggested they might be a witch. But we haven't moved on too much further.

The whole notion of an omnipotent overlord is of course absurd, however.
