Lampard is under very little pressure imo. He’s a club legend, loved by the fans and the owner and after the previous years management he’ll be given time. He’s also not got the pressure of the team actually being his due to the transfer ban. Baring them finishing in the bottom half and being bombed out the CL in the group stages, I think he’ll get at least 2 seasons.

Maybe it’s because he had the initial bounce and then results fell off.

so he shouldn't be given more than 5-6 months? personally feel the manager always needs a summer pre season get his transfers in and half a full season from then, everything you said about lampard pretty much applies to ole so think he will be afforded time as long as theres improvements

Well apart from the fact Chelsea are under a transfer ban and Utd aren't. So by your own logic, Ole will get his players in and get a pre-season but Lampard can't; he'll just have to cope with what he has and that includes them selling their best player.
Surely it follows that more would be expected of OGS?

Chelsea's 1st 11 is sadly for us better than ours anyway, yes the transfer ban will hurt but they start on a higher footing

They were better, 6 points better than Utd in 2018/19.
But they've lost Hazard and haven't been able to add to the squad. Personally I'd argue that losing Hazard alone bridges that 6 point gap.
I just think it's pretty obvious that OGS will be under more pressure having had 6 months to assess the squad and address weaknesses. In the same way that Lampard will be under pressure to deliver once he's had an opportunity to shape his own team through transfers - won't be next season though.

they have added though, of course not hazard level, and also lets not feel too sorry for them they have about 40 players out on loan which quite a few could bolster their squad

I don't feel sorry for them in the slightest! This is a punishment after all. Just explaining why I think Lampard will be cut a little more slack than OGS next season.

We've added Pulisic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good point I'd forgotten about him, interesting player.
Is there expectation amongst Chelsea fans that he'll make a big impact next season or is it more one for the future?
Think Pulisic will take some time to settle but I'm expecting a decent debut season from him. Hope him and CHO can form a decent partnership on the wing for us as Pedro and Willian are both the wrong side of 30.
Frank won’t stand any players not putting a shift in and mugging him off
He’s done it all the game and has the medals to prove it
The transfer ban could work in his favour in a weird way that he plays some of the kids because he can justify it

What?? Seriously?? They have been carried by Hazard for 3 seasons. Now he's gone and cant be replaced they are in the weakest position of all top 6 clubs. They'll be embarrassed massively in the CL without Hazard!
So long as Frank finishes top 6 during the ban period then he'll be fine. It'll take a massive c'ck up for Chelsea to fall further than that.
The test will come when he's able to spend money and expectations begin rise. How big a say is he going to have in recruitment?
He's a hard guy not to like imo. Hope he does well.

I agree he's hard guy not to like, but I think anyone coming into Chelsea is on a hiding to nothing. Losing their best player and not been able to replace is a massive job!

But not just their best player. If we are all honest he's carried them through the last few seasons to the point i worry about their top 6 spot, never mind top 4!

We've still got a good enough squad to compete for a top four position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not so sure. Who's gonna the score goals or get the assists? Before you answer check Hazard stats from last season. But I could be wrong.
