Midfield would still be dreadful but I just think getting rid of Pogba is a must. It’s becoming a circus and will effect the squad going into the season.
If we sell Pogba we need two big CM signings
Wasnt RW always the thing man United fans said needed improving? Seems to have been (arguably fairly) neglected in favour of midfield and defence.

Not good window. It’s poor to ok. Midfield would be an absolute shambles unless the likes of McTominany and Fred step up massively.
Our CMs would be Matic, McTominay, Fred, Perreira, Longstaff and Fernandes? Do you think that’s good?

I rate McTominay and expect Fred to improve but it would be a shallow pool of.options without Pogba replaced
What had ole said about Maguire and Bruno ?
Youd have to ask him mate
Would still need one more midfield player of distinction from that list. Donny van de Beek would be my favoured choice.

I think the club will wait until next season and go big for Sancho. I'd have been concerned with that strategy a few months ago, however, having seen how good Greenwood is at close quarters playing off the right hand side, and with the signing of James who can also play there, I think we can get by for a season. AWB will make a big difference too. He carries the ball very very well and will improve us down that side.
Basically it would mean one of Fred, Pereira or McT would have to cover the blow of losing Herrera, no one knows for sure if they can or cannot. Herrera wasn’t THAT good, so it’s not beyond imagination to think they could, along with Longstaff covering and hopefully ousting Matic.
I’m relatively sure that if Fernandes comes with the right attitude he could replace what would be lost by Pogba going.
I think we’d still be short in some areas, so I wouldn’t say it was a good window no. But we were never going to solve everything in one summer.
Bruno by a country mile, the best of the bunch and would improve any team easily
Though his agent seems to be a bit greedy from all accounts
What a good player!

No I know
I just answered anyway...
Our midfield, if pogba leaves, will only be weakened to the extent of what we lose compared with what he DELIVERED. He’s done so se past three years that actually it won’t make much difference. Stop conflating pogba potential with pogba actual.

No fear, were after Bakayoko now apparently
we need 2 top quality cm imo
herrera and pogba were by a country mile our best cm.
I am unconvinced longstaff is even fit to lace either of their boots. There are fans on here who will literally get excited about any player linked to utd and try to justify the signing at whatever the price
Re Longstaff. If Ole is truly interested In Longstaff then we have to back his judgement.
I'd be interested to see what the Ed haters would make of this window
Can’t answer your question as I haven’t seen enough of AWB or Maguire. Seen nothing of Fernandes or Longstaff. Happy to give James time to settle but he does have potential to be a very good player for us, and for the price the deal was a no brainer.
We signed Fred, Dalot and Grant last summer so co.pared to that it would be much better.
If we end up with Maguire then it means we have gone to 80 mil or over.
That automatically puts it in the poor window category.
For Ed to balance that out he would have to sell Pogba and Lukaku for around 160 million and bring in two quality midfielders.
That isn't happening.

2 In addition to Fernandes ?
If we are going to pin our hopes on a CB based in the PL, especially one from a team with ambitions of catching us, we are going to get out pants pulled down on price. We surely knew this going into the discussions.
If there is no alternative on the horizon then God knows what we do. Get ripped off but potentially have a much better defence or stay as we are and continue to be awful.
No. One in addition. Unless Ed doesn't get his finger out and someone else comes in for him.
And this is very likely.
