We don't need a 3rd choice LB, he should be moved on. Last season was him playing as good as he has ever done for us and he was still a weak link.
Damning on Barasic he's ahead of him, i know Gerrard has a soft spot for Halliday but if he stays he's last choice LB and last choice in midfield. Must be some character in the dressing room right enough
I was really taking to Flanagan last season at the end

Halliday is far from the best, but i think the manager knows he's a relatively reliable utility guy down that side.
He will never be a world beater, but i cannot remember to many game changing howlers.
We cannot afford 25 great players

If we trim of the deadwood we can surely upgrade on Halliday, wouldn't cost much to get a better player than him in. Agree though on there not been many howlers just a complete lack of quality and threat from LB when he plays.
Barasic is better going forward and Flanagan a better defender. Hence why i would get rid but will be a nice story if we can pick up a league while he's about.

It's a real head scratcher. He can still do the job for the national team then cowers back in his shell when he comes back.
I can only imagine that he's finding it hard to settle. If he was able to do that I think he could be our best player.
