But Adam's corners were worth £20m alone. So Liverpool were actually £13m in front. Good business.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Too true. Having watched him get cap after cap for Scotland, where his slow pondering nature on the ball would constantly relieve of us of scant possession, his refusal to track back would give opposing attacking midfielders free rein to run into the box and his brutal tackling would give away dangerous fouls - any time he hit his first successful Holywood pass of the day after fourteen attempts I'd think "That was all worth it".
Until James Morrison miscontrolled it and kicked it out of play anyway.

You're just jealous because he is a Dundee fan and will eventually sign for us

We had cech for a decade, he left and we replaced him with a good keeper in TC who basically left us in the sh*t, in our weakest back line in probably two decades. Hes come to a new country, at 22/23 for a record fee, and played very well. We conceded the same amount as spurs this year and that includes 10 in one game when our team has been a shambles defensively most the year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also made no errors that led to goals last year unlike Alisson who had 3 and DDG 4.

Still not on their level however
I'd have him over alisson though, especially at their ages. Alisson seems to be getting ridiculous praise without doing much and making errors. DDG has years of good faith but last season was worse, and in his first year in the pl was worse too. Been a great signing, if not a little costly.

Kepa had a good first season but Allison had a better one, yes he’s older but he’s at a much higher level.

I agree Alisson gets ridiculous praise and has made a few poor errors. Would still have him over Kepa mind. And don’t forget DDG was 19 when he came to us. That’s ridiculously young for a first choice keeper at a top club
true. and DDG faced a ridiculous amount of shots on goal last year. But Kepa has been great this year, passing wise and some great saves, as well as no errors in his first season, very impressed by him. Why would you have alisson?

Looks a bit more assured. Kepa looks very nervous and similar to DDG has no command of his box whatsoever from the games I’ve seen.
Really? What games, do you remember? He's looked assured on the ball, good at coming out and claiming. I think league cup final has skewed some peoples opinions. He's been very good this year, as with all keepers are improvements to be made.
But what do I know, I just sit 20 metres from him for 45 mins every other weekend
Alisson did just win:
The CL and got golden Glove
The copa America and got Golden Glove
Golden Glove in the league
Just saying...

That's just your opinion though
Playing infront of the best defence will do that. The copa america should be scrapped from what I saw
Na he's obviously a good keeper but like I say has made more errors.
My main issue with the comment was that someone included kepa in a discussion about worst record fees lol when he's been gret.

He won hearts and minds too ya know
If you think Kepa has been great then fair enough
He has been nowhere near great imo
You see him more than I do granted. However I have seen him a lot and just because you 20 metres away and me watching him on tv makes no difference. We still see the same thing

He's been unreal, he made that dreadful error trying to turn a striker v Leicester very early and got caught, he never even tried to do that again, glad he learned from it.

You're right. Nicololopopololopopolopololopolopolis is overhyping him for some reason. He's been good but that's it. Comparing him to Alisson is a joke.
Seems you're replacing him with yet another of our sloppy seconds...all will be well
But unfair on pogba. He was never a world record fee player when bought, we massively overpaid.
If it wasn’t for that fee I think people would be less hard on him, though he’s certainly up the flop list because of it and his attitude and inconsistency.
I suppose Andy Carroll has cropped up.

He made errors yh but hes involved in our football a lot more than ddg and kepa are for their teams too. And he was unlucky to be punished ruthlessly almost every error where as kepa probably made a few that diddnt lead to goals. Stats can be misleading. He set up a lot of attack for us with his passing kicking and throwing and was also a massive reason we had the best def despite playing with 3 strikers and 2 of the most attacking fullbacks in world footy.
I saw a fair bit of chelsea and kepa and although he wsnt bad he never really impressed either and i think i gave him a 6/10 for his first season on a thread on here the other month. for that price hes way off what youd expect, hes very young for a gk though but still didnt really look crazy talented in any gk department.
Also didnt studge at the bridge and salah at anfield beat him from 40 yards ? Whats he good at other than not taking risks and making errors ?
