I think he's expected to bat but no word on bowling as far as I'm aware.

Drop Bairstow. Horribly overrated player with a sheite attitude. Bring Foakes back in when he's fit.

This innings is not going how I expected at all. But of course one wicket will probably swiftly become 4

Strange comment. I rate most of the team, just not Bairstow (sulky prat who averages about 25 in the last 2 years with 20 scores of 20 or under) or Moeen (mediocre with ball and incredibly lackadaisical with bat).

I'm a huge fan of Burns - been championing him on here for ages since I'm a Surrey fan. Also a big fan of Roy and think (hope) he'll do well even if maybe not as an opener. Buttler and Stokes are my 2 favourite cricketers and have been for years.

To be honest Bairstow and Moeen are the only two I DON'T like. And the selectors, obviously, who are pretty hopeless.

Hardly a strange comment. I’ve only seen you slag off 2 key England players. So it’s quite justified. The selectors obviously have their reasons for selecting both of them. And as is always the case, the grass is always greener on the other side. Bairstow had a quality World Cup, would only make sense to hope he carries it over into the test arena. But I take on board what you’ve said, let’s see what happens anyway.

Should get a full days play. Tomorrow doesn't look to bad either.Monday might be a problem. But hopefully England will win by sometime tomorrow

Theres no point in changing things until the 3rd test, same 11 except for injury which maybe Anderson so you go for archer

Hopefully he won't need to. The bowling will be an issue, Moeen will need to step up as a lot more will be expected from him.

Interesting to know why Buttler went ahead of Stokes?

Give it a rest. He's hit a crucial 50 in supporting Burns to help England get up to parity and also stopped a clatter of wickets.

Stokes is a hugely important player in this side.

Go look at Flintoff's test average

Stokes is a proven match winner. He's one of those cricketers where averages just don't tell the full story. Some of the innings he's played in high-pressure situations show he's got what most of our specialist bats lack.
