Fancy Wolves for this. Father in law hasn't renewed is Newcastle season ticket for the first time in 10 years.

Looks like Bruce is about to take over at Toon

Very difficult to understand what Ashley is trying to achieve at Newcastle. Think he just enjoys being the pantomime villain. The value of his investment there will plummet if they get relegated which seems increasingly likely

As for Wolves they will be keen to impress in China but I guess it will be a makeshift side with plenty of changes in the second half. Hopefully one or two of the youngsters will impress, and even more hopefully we won’t get injuries to any of our dwindling number of first team squad players

Watching the videos of the Shanghai store launch, and even a Wolves fashion show in China, it seems there’s a new “mascot” and logo shape being used. Tim Spiers is posting the videos on Twitter. Anyone else notice this?

The logo shape they're using is in the background, on the wall, of this fashion parade...

Bully seems to be having fun out there. Lots more videos on the page.

I appreciate the efforts they are putting in out there but to me the thing that will gain the public's attention in China most would be seeing a strong side on the pitch in a friendly but the likelihood is they will see quite a few youngsters who won't see a minutes football this season.

I get that the Shanghai thing its a very important event for the club, but Im finding it all a bit odd. Is that Megastore really going to be self sustaining? We couldn't sustain one in the Merry Hill centre or even Dudley Street. Its the sort of venture you embark upon when you have a Champions League or two under your belt, not necessarily one season of Premier League over-achievement. Lets see, I hope its an over-whelming success and I'm under estimating the club's popularity over there.

One things for definite, cant really see many of those "fashion items" catching on in Bilston.

The Ashley situation is a strange one, apparently it will cost him more to employ Bruce than it would have done to keep Rafa & word is they have bid 36m for some Brazilian from Hoffenheim - I tought he didn't like wasting money

Fosun taking the PR thingy by the scruff of the neck, wouldn’t be surprised if Diego Costa is unveiled pre match in the centre circle

This taken from elsewhere might answer the question.

The 'Chinese Wolfie' is actually Tianmao (Sky Cat) - the mascot for Tmall which is the main Alibaba ecommerce channel for brands. Hopefully that means we'll have a decent online store for China too.

I noticed that the regular wolfie was not wearing any shorts. Just adding to the strange dream like feel to it all really.

Steve Bruce joining Newcastle!

This gives a whole new meaning to the term "re-cycling".

This match on sky at 11 am uk time

Wolves have a full strength team out apart from Jimenez and Doherty. Traore replaces Doc and MGW comes in for Raul. Lots of kids on the bench and with 10 subs allowed expect lots of second half changes especially as its very hot and humid there

What exactly is Ashley trying to achieve there. He is a successful businessman but doesn’t seem to want Newcastle to be successful. It’s like it gives him a power kick to be calling the tunes nobody wants to 50,000 geordies

Surprised by the new keeper strip. A deep orange colour which is a bit of a clash with the outfield strips
