I don’t know, but I hope he’s ok...

Hopefully he's just out enjoying life now that a few more things have been sorted with his care etc.

"well as of today i tick every bloody box just waitin official letter to land before i celebrate to loudly

full care, full mobility,
esa and support group
and apparently severe disability premium
the care and sdp should cover 75% of my care needs which means i can put my mobility money to a mobility vehicle.
3 yrs of being in solitary confinement seems to be over"

I hope this is the case anyway.

good evening all
still here just,in a nut shell dwp came back to me again and looks like i wont be getting the care part of dwp pip oe the extra esa that that kicks in,
bit of a bogger but there you go i spoke to the correct dept who i should have been sent to 4yrs ago and a lady explianed how my forriegn pension| benifet puts the block on it which is annoying as it not actually income affected you can work full time eran 60k a year and still draw down care and mobility it about quality of life,

so im waitning for a desission for this year they will either be yeah or nay and ive ben in contact with my local MPs office whom require everything in writtng,i explained im vonrable ,disabled and obviously suffer from depression and will take me months to write in
may as well talk to the wall,

last thur or fri i went co.op over did things and had to have the para medics out to the co.op then sunday i had a wobble but managd to rescue myself,so ive basically been trying to keep calm and still just moving around for the loo or a sandwhich,,
then monday i get letters of the council who informed me theyve been giving me too much allownence on the rent and council tax,
2015/16 and 2016/17 but not the last 2 yrs ..
i now owe the following
housing benfit £1773 payable at £11 a week over 3yrs+
council tax £545 payable this fri hahahaha they may spread it till march £17 a week

so ive lost £480 a month extra i thought i was getting
will probably be another 120 a month less as
will lose another extra benifit
then have to find £33 a week so no weekly food just £100 a month shop

may have had slightly suisidal couple of days
cant increase my care and cleaner hours have to use my mobility to pay for my minimum care

really whats the point another 10 yrs of sitting in the house
its beyond mind numming
dublin completly fcuked by the system fox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Facking horrific. Disgrace the way they treat the needy. Sorry to hear that Dublin fox. Considering the shambles in Dublin with homelessness, I am surprised they didn't tell you to consider yourself lucky. Really hope you get some good news soon.

Dublin, that is a quite staggering tale of callous ineptitude, which is really upsetting (and angering!) to read. So heaven knows what it must feel like to be on the receiving end of it.

A measure of a 'civilised' a society, is surely how it treats it's more vulnerable citizens? I'm not sure how 'civilised' we are any more.

We seem to be living through brutal times, where personal and party political gain seem more important to some politicians, than how their policies (or lack of!) and serially insufficient investment in our crumbling public services, affect ordinary people.

I really hope things improve for you Dublin. Your stoicism in the face of all you've been through is amazing and you put the petty worries of most of us into proportion.

All the best. Here's to better times.

Hi Dublin

Terrible news just when you thought you were sorted.

Just a thought on the Council Repayments, have you tried appealing or at worst appealed the weekly payments to a much lower level, £1 a week would be £1 too much but far better than their level?

Yes I've income and expenditure for for the tax and intend to copy it and send to housing benefits
I'll obviously ask for the minimum,
Water at the moment is £1 week then debt with then is cleared in August
Water will then be £16 a month,
It really depends what esa do will see what is lodged tomorrow and ring them in the day time,
Getting sorted now for hospital to get a heart scan 3pm , safety check as my heart has to work harder to supply red blood cells and gp doesn't want any surprises 🤦‍♂️

I'm hoping esa haven't over paid me as well
Mind you I'd be so much better off in prison,
Free TV, company, 3 hot meals a day,
Full medical back up,
Exercise and gym,

You've got to laugh otherwise you be in a right mess 😳

I don't know my way around those processes at all, but I hope things improve for you soon, Dublin.
Have you got anyone nearby who can help you with writing everything out to send to your local MP? It definitely sounds like a good idea to get him/her involved.

Dublin - have you been in touch with, or had contact with anyone at the club?

I honestly don’t know where to start in navigating the social care system (but agree it’s underfunded and under pressure), but i do think your situation is worth raising with the club. They may choose to help or they may not. I’m happy to write to them to see if they are interested in helping if you never have?
