Glad to see that tbh. One of your good players gone
Didn't see much of him TBH, outside OF games, but always thought he looked pretty decent. End product maybe? You Bears would know better though, and you did seem to be knee deep in wingers.
So good he couldn't get out of Tierney's pocket.
Old Firm's aside where he was generally as useful as a chocolate teapot he was a good guy to have around and his work rate was fantastic but ultimately he didn't have the quality for the long run imo.
Better than Hastie who will hope this will open up more game time though...

----------------------------------------------------------------------
OF's were his worst games, he spent a whole season getting pashed on by Tierney.
Candyman was a solid 7/10 every game pretty much with the odd 8/9 in there. You knew what you were gonna get from him. Loadsa effort great work ethic and commitment, seemed like a good guy to have around the team also. Cant knock his ambition he didnt wanna be a bench player and was told that he was gonna be back up to Ojo it seems.
Football could do with more people like him that are not prepared to just sit back and claim a free wage.
Worked well with Tavernier, helping track back.
But if he's not willing to fight for his place in the starting 11 then best to move on as no one is good enough to not be dropped.
Lets be honest here - there was a reason we got Candeais for £700k when he was 28/29.
Candeais worked his erchie off and linked up well with Tavs but his game was limited.
He didn't have the pace or trickery to go past a man. The very sight of Tierney turned his legs to rubber.
Sometimes his delivery was very good. Frequently it was poor. Same with his finishing.
His best game was his last game against Marseille - which is a nice way for him to go tbh.
All in all he will be remembered as a good signing who ultimately lacked the real quality and consistency required as we try and upgrade the team to challenge for the league.
Whether Ojo has that quality and consistency remains to be seen - but it certainly looks like he was destined to be picked ahead of Candeais more of ten than not this season.
<applause|> Thank you Daniel, all the best in the future
All the best to him. He did a good job for us. But he's 31 now and we obviously think it's a good deal for us especially with the new players we've brought in (so we'll see how they go).
Hard to replace that work rate. Regularly chipped in with goals/chances created too
Bit sad to see him go as I thought he was a good player and did more good than bad. But seems Gerrard had him down the order so best for him to go.
Hopefully likes of Lafferty, Dodoo, Holt and Dorrans arent far behind.

6 goals and 12 assists in 52 games isn't bad but not good enough if we want to be winning the league.
I can only imagine that Ojo's loan deal meant he was guaranteed a certain amount of games, and Candeias wanted to be sure of first team football.
I've got no problem with him. He was a good team and squad player. SG's comments after the Marseille game pretty much summed it up.

For some comparison, James Forrest got
18 goals and 20 assists in 56 games.
Listen man I'm no saying he's brilliant or anything but defo one of the guys you notice from your rivals, if you know what I mean. I'm surprised he's being punted.
Looks like Jak Alnwick is signing for Blackpool too.

Guaranteed games for Ojo pushes him down the list. Candeias wants first team games. Makes sense for him.
Work ethic gets him noticed, also won lots of fans over. Others always thought he was short on quality.
Best wishes to him though, can't complain when a guy gives his all
Disappointed he’s left but fair play to him.
Think he helped Tav a lot defensively and offensively, so hoping Tavs defensive shortcomings aren’t more apparent again.

Nothing against him but this is good. Too many with no opportunity on the books
I liked him but far too inconsistent.
At 31, for the reported fee, we've done pretty well all things considered.
Although would rather Candeias than Jones or Hastie from what has been so far tbh.

Yep. Too many chancers and dead wood picking up a wage.
Lafferty can GTF. As can Grezda.
I feel sorry for Dorrans but he has to go.
Dodoo and Holt need to bolt anaw.
