Still difficult to gauge Bolingoli-and I know he was ill last night. Also, I think we’re relatively easily exposed at the back. Again, I know it was a very attacking team we put out last night, but I think teams seem able to break through our lines fairly easy. I suspect that Lennon may be more pragmatic than Rodgers at times, but I hope we can work on that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I suspect it’ll be like VVD with Izzy at times, needs to cover a lot for him when he’s rampaging up front.
Julien will hopefully be good enough to provide a similar level of cover.
I thought Jozo played very well last night again, he must be kicking himself he’s going to lose his place because of that silly tackle in a friendly.

That was magic to watch last night, a great team performance.
However...we let them in two or three times with our sloppyness, opponents of a better standard would have slotted those chances.
I tipped Ryan Christie as POTY, and on that showing he's going to get it. He was raging at getting pulled off, good to see, but he has to realise the job was done and we need him for the next games.
Sensible and early subs by Lenny.

Right let’s nip this in the bud right now I was first to tip Christie for POTY end of story ππIn other news allocation cut at Pittodrie for away fans βΉοΈ

Said it was for safety concerns.
Funny that because the state of that stand is an absolute embarrassment and is an ankle breaker at every row.

Jozo is a real problem isnt he?
At his best, he's really top class and better than we could normally afford or keep. Around the time he launched poor wee Kenny, a lot of us were saying he was a better defender than VVD
He's susceptible to moments of madness though
.but so is every other CB
Lennon has some tough decisions coming up as he now has 5 players capable of playimg well at CB. Itsnot an area where we want a lot of rotation
I want to keep Jozo but he might be better in a lower level EPL team(a west ham/newcastle/arsenal type) where is used to being regularly under pressure. I think he's better when he's busy
Very enjoyable performance last night after what was a shaky start, let’s not forget they missed an absolute sitter at 0-0, again another ball into the box we couldn’t deal with.
But after that scare we were at times frightening, theb link up play especially in the second half from McGregor Christie Johnston was exceptional.
We’re moving the ball with more purpose now, even brown is trying to move it forward at every opportunity
Seen someone mention that Forrest had to do more, i thought he was excellent, some of his footwork and passing was very good, he looked dangerous when he moved central
Griffiths was poor but for someone who wasn’t supposed to play football anymore he scored a beauty
Next week we’ll see we need to bed Jullien in, play him in Estonia then again against St Johnstone before the next round which is gonna be a massive step up
But 3 competitive games now this season and 3 very enjoyable performances
Early days but the players seem to be loving it under Lennon, freedom to go roam and their work rate is through the roof.
Btw what about Christie’s challenge he got booked, the whole crowds reaction was hilarious even the Celtic fans were shouting that’s a red

I wouldnt say that its all about The Rangers
But i do like to bring them into the conversation whenever possible
Bodes very well for Scotland also
Griff
McGregor
Christie
Forrest
Morgan?
Johnston?
If Johnston keeps that sort of form up for a few weeks/months he’ll be in the Scotland squad.
Morgan has a longgggg way to go.
Also the new boy is massive and a handsome bassa

Would like to see all of them in the squad.
But the best laugh would be in Lee Wallace now got an immediate recall
Now that would be a meltdoon
Calum McGregor played the most minutes of any player in world football last season, 69 games in total, the boy is an absolute machine.
Morgan got a call up before? Suppose it was a friendly.
The amount of ballers we have is tremendous, now for tougher games we need a bit more steel in the middle of the park. I am hoping Julien provides that at the back
FFS a victory so comprehensive in front of a half full stadium that i can't even be negative
McGregor is the best player at the club bar none
Tierney
Forrest
Eddy
Are fighting it out for the 2nd best
cos yer sheighting it
Seriously though much tougher test to come but IF we continue in this form we will blow the domestic teams away
Was sceptical of 3-5-2 but it might actually work with that group of players.
A better striker than griffiths for Eddy to play off would be ideal though.
I’m dreading the day we lose Eddy btw.
Eddy is the best player we have IMO - hopefully we can keep the french boys together for a few seasons but he is destined for bigger things, shame he never scored last night watched highlights he deserved one.

Excellent result for Celtic π
We really should be putting these teams to the sword.
No excuses for Rangers tonight - anything less than a 3-0 win is a disappointment.
3-5-2 will work against weaker oppo imo and should be used to open up teams that want to sit in but against better teams they might exploit the space out wide and in behind if the back 3 get stretched?
