I would expect Wolves to buy 3 or 4 players in the next fortnight as their contribution to the pot. I think the earlier closing of the transfer window is leading to even more happening at the last minute. The total spend will surely end up as more than £1b

Think you've spent £50m on Dendoncker and Jimenez and that CB on loan from Real Madrid so far.

500 mil in 2 weeks?

416 is needed? yh i'd expect over a 100 on deadline day alone too.

Fair point
With the change to our transfer window but not to others it has to be taken into consideration that some windows opened on 1st July and have a while to run. Our earlier window means ours shuts first of the major leagues. So with the 1st July opening of the window we are 26 days in with 13 to go. Its not unreasonable to think deals were not discussed for a lot of players until their windows open as the selling clubs will want to buy replacements for anyone they sell so need to be able to talk to the clubs of players they want to sell as well.
Chelsea have a ban
Something weird at Arsenal
Man Utd spending cautiously for a change
City and Liverpool don’t need to spend
Spurs have to sell to buy
Liverpool have cover for all positions. Not City quality cover but cover. So I imagine if we sell squad players we will then spend to provide better quality cover. There isn't really one position I would change in the first team. With Ox and Gomez back from injury, we should be stronger anyhow.

Wolves have just splurged £78m on Jesus, Cortone and Fernandes.
Ignore him, he’s on crack !
£848 million as it stands with one week to go.
Need another 150 million to hit a billion which doesnt seem to be that difficult.

Two more big deals.. or another 11 players for Villa
So if Lukaku and Dybala swap clubs, will it go down as an £80m-ish spend, or a £0 spend..?
£80m for Dybala? Maybe a few years ago when he was a hot prospect and played regularly. Career has stalled since then.

La Liga outspending the PL for the first time
Still feels as if there’s significant deals to be done - interested to see if that materialises or if clubs hold off and call the bluff of those asking silly money.
