I don’t see how it’s that big a deal to appreciate the karma of Shawcross breaking his own leg, after he’s done it a few times through his own recklessness as a player.
Ace, the man who threatens the worst kind of violence against numerous people is upset by these comments?
If Shawcross showed a bit of class on the football pitch he wouldn’t get such classless comments directed at him when karma struck. The bloke is a facking thug.

Arsenal fans showing their lack of class on this one.

Tottenham fans show their lack of class singing about partying when a player dies.....Look in the mirror
It's so nasty that I can't bring myself to say it's deserved or find it remotely funny. However if any single player was to suffer a horrendous leg break like this then it being one who throughout his entire career constantly endangered opponents and at times did completely derail other players careers then it's the certainly not as upsetting as it happening to a genuine pro rather than a thug like Shawcross.
If his career is now over then that could well mean another players career has been saved due to not being assaulted by Shawcross in future, that's the only positive here.
Other than Ramsey, which other player did Shaw cross badly injure?
He broke Francis Jeffers ankle with a foul. He put Adebayor out for a few weeks with a shocking tackle off the pitch! And that's just the Arsenal related players...

The old ‘race to the bottom’ argument.
Better to treat people as individuals, I find.
To be fair DJ’s comment in comparison to what I’ve seen and heard from Stoke City fans over the years regarding the Aaron Ramsey leg break, are pretty tame. They’re still at it to this day. Now that is classy

If you’re using other groups of football fans as the basis for your moral compass then you’ll always come up short in the decency department, in my view.

That's just the players. Pepe managed that in a season. How many more?
Jeffers was injury prone anyway.

Pepe was a nasty piece of work, a true sh*thouser supreme. He also had these red mist moments, but I honestly can’t remember him breaking anyone’s leg or putting numerous players out of the game for lengthy spells.
But Ryan Shawcross is a good lad, he’s not like that.
It was Pulis’ and Shawcross’ comments after the match that pissssed me off. Saying how he won’t change the way he plays when it was publicly known that he had previous for dangerous tackles, and how they got their assistant manager to go on Sky and bring out a highlight reel of all the bad tackles Arsenal players made in the past as some sort of excuse for Shawcross’ assaults. The whole thing was embarrassing.
And then the Stoke fans booed Ramsey the next time they saw him and still boo him today
Imagine booing a player for having the audacity to have his leg broken.
This is one of those situations where nothing good comes from speaking about it unless you’re offering sympathy.
If you are genuinely happy that someone has severely broken their leg then probably best to keep that to yourself. Plublicly celebrating it is a poor show indeed.
And if you’re basing your behaviour on how some fans of an opposition club behaved when one of your own players was hurt then you really need to take a look at yourself.
How about celebrating the fact other players (ones which aren't thugs) will be safer due to Shawcross being injured?
