Hopefully...Abraham and Batman to feature now.

It's not a good thing in itself because we could do with buying a decent left back and a top striker. But at least it means Mount, Zouma, CHO and RLC get a real crack of the whip this season.

Could well benefit you in the long run yes.

This summer is the worst to have it because of how many good players are available and because we've lost Hazard. If we could have signed Ndombele, Dybala and a striker, we'd be looking really good for next season.

The only good thing is that it takes some of the pressure off Lampard in the short run. If we don't score goals it's because we don't have a goalscorer and we can't go out and sign one - otherwise it would just be Lampard's fault.

He will have a whole year to develop the youngsters and work them into the team in a way that he would not have been able to do if we didn't have the ban in place.

So I wouldn't say the ban is good - we will probably finish lower in the league than if we were able to buy a couple of additional great players. But it will likely give Lampard additional time.

For me it's brilliant!!!! Both short term and long. Let Frank build a new dynamic, with the excitement of seeing some young players flourish is great for the club and its supporters. Long-term we can augment with top-notch signings as and when.

We'd so have wound up getting Lukaku, not Dybala

Also, I'm looking forward to the high-energy thing which Frank is implementing. Sarri-ball - so long!!

Yo, imagine both!

Kepa
Azpi Rudiger Luiz Alonso
Ndombele Kante
Pulisic Dybala Hudson-Odoi
Lukaku

That team would be ridiculous.

It is a good thing. Time to finally test our youth and see how they'll do. If Chelsea fails, we already have an excuse...actually 2 - hazard leaving and transfer ban LOL. If they get it right, then Chelsea's youth/loan policy is brilliant...LOL

Well we don't have a choice I guess. We're missing out on some serious quality this summer especially though.

I dunno, it feels like all our rivals aside from Liverpool have added at least one quality player to their squad.

City - Rodri
United - Wan-Bissaka, potentially Dybala
Tottenham - Ndombele, potentially Lo Celso
Arsenal - Pepe

I don't think that normally happens. This summer there seems to be more available talent than normal.

United signed Fred last summer, Arsenal didn’t sign anyone great and Tottenham didn’t sign anyone at all. Feels like everyone’s building this summer whilst were hoping the gap doesn’t grow too big before next summer.

I still prefer our midfield and defence to Arsenal, Tottenham and United.

Tottenham have a better defence than us but aside from that yeah. But all those teams have goalscorers in their team and we don’t have anyone who’s guaranteed even 15+ goals this season. In terms of top 4, were below city Tottenham and Liverpool but I think we can finish above Arsenal. United are the team we’re directly competing with for 4th place and I don’t really know how good they’ll be under solskjaer.

Honestly the only player I could've seen us getting, besides Kovacic, was Nicolas Pepe. Before we resisted appealing the ban twice reports all lead back to us where he was concerned. Joining Arsenal might even be a clue the player was ready to come to London.

All the big targets on the market this summer - Bale, Neymar, Pogba, Lukaku, Dybala, Icardi, etc... I struggle to believe we'd have got any of them. All either cost to much, wages are too high, club won't sell to us or player wouldn't join.

We'd have had a shot at Dybala and Ndombele too. Maybe Icardi but I dunno whether we'd have taken that risk.

I think we would’ve brought Ndoumble instead of Kovacic.

Pepe would’ve signed.

Tierney or Chilwell would’ve been the players we would’ve looked at to replace Alonso.

De Ligt would’ve probably been looked at to replace Luiz. Or maybe Rugani who may now be available.

Up front I’m not sure. Maybe Werner but I don’t think he wants to leave Germany.

Arsenal and Spurs lucky they don’t have to compete with us in the transfer market.

I'd want Dybala just for the goals. Where are the goals in our team otherwise. Who's even going to hit double figures this season? Giroud and Pedro might but neither will break 15.
