Top 6. Even push to top 8 if someone like Leicester or Wolves have a great season.
I have a lot of blind optimism for this season. This squad always seem to subvert expectations, and no-one expect us to do anything this year, so watch us inexplicably win the league
Realistic objectives:
- Frank prioritising our standout academy graduates (as opposed to them being screwed over) is a strong starting point...days of favoring ageing struggling, unconducive players are over. Long may that continue, with current management in charge.
- Academy graduates taking to methods/ideals like duck to water (something predecessors could never comprehend).
- Improved team cohesion, mentality, set-pieces, work ethic/rate without Hazard (especially in triggering high-octane press and quick turnovers). <- Mount in particular potent at leading (high-energy) press, setting the tone, cutting-off the supply/passing lanes, suppressing space and forcing mistakes. Measured excellence. One of his many outstanding noticeable attributes.
- Mount' dangerously pinpoint set-piece deliveries will unquestionably present one with opportunities, should yield goals from defenders.
- Picking sides based on merit. Level playing field.
- Competent squad management with capable squad at disposal competing on all fronts (foresight in lineups & proactive in-game management).
- Building a young strong core (this process has already began with Frank stamping his authority on a Roman favourite in Luiz and average age of squad brought right down in general). <--Massive vote of confidence for young players.
- Squad brimming with belief, to prove a point & show their worth. Thus no half-measured, half-hearted efforts.
- Top 4
- Good cup run (including CL knockout rounds)

I'm excited to see who will form the best understanding from midfield to attack, also with the fullbacks and which players will have the speed of thought to make the right decision at crucial moments (Willian has proved incapable of that one, time and time again). That's important.
P.S. I never have and never will subscribe to the notion that we are doomed without Hazard.
In fact, I hope none of our young attackers pick up on his bad habits of...turning up to the season chubby/overweight, constantly going through the motions, downgrading ambitions, playing within their comfort zone (handbrake on) and content with plateau.
All those downsides we can do without.
Chelsea fans, what's your realistic hope...

Top six with clear signs of better things to come having played lots of youth throughout the season would do me

I think we'll finish 6th. Everyone else has strengthened and if we sell Luiz to arsenal well that's the worst bit of business we've done this season.. utterly ridiculous
