Off to Melbourne soon tbh. Just finishing the lease on my flat in September. Lot of friends in Sydney though so will be back sporadically
When it comes to ball playing CBs i think our Centre Half turned Thespian is as good as i've seen in that role for Chelsea.
Plus he was quite a dab hand at penalties as well

Have fun down there then Blarms. My youngest daughters flying into Perth in Novermber, then back packing round to Adelaide, Melbourne, then we're all meeting up in Sydney were we're all meeting up with my eldest and her family, after that she's going on to Brisbane and Cairns for the GBR!

She doing farm work?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think she's mainly travelling, she's only doing that for about 4/5 months then going off to Fiji, NZ, Borneo, The Philippines and places like that.
What do we think of how Lampard is playing this?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Part of the deal with us approaching him how and when we did (i.e. far too early in his managerial career) is we have to let him learn from these types of big calls. This could go either way, and it depends on one of Zouma or Christensen really stepping up this season - which both are very capable of on natural ability alone.
It's an interesting one this because I believe it's in both clubs interests to not pursue the deal. We need Luiz's experience and leadership more than Arsenal because a lot of it is tied into him being a long time server for the club, he's not a natural leader (IMO). And Arsenal need a far more stable CB than him, he's what they want, not what they need.
So - the window has been shut for an hour now and I've yet to see anything official that this transfer has gone through!
We never really ever discovered the root of the problem when Diego Costa left. I'm not talking about his love for Atletico, but the personal issue with Conte, which cost us a heavy price as we all know.
When Luiz left for PSG a similar void was created, and the club had a poor season . (While PSG went on to win 4 titles with him). We won the main title with our new coach inmmediately on his return , which saw the return of passion and motivation within the club, no doubt David was instrumental in this.
I do not know if this "falling out" with Lampard is real or just media spin. But its very disturbing. It insinuates that once again personal issues take precedent over true merit. I hope these darkening clouds do not break out into a full stom in the months to come.
David Luiz has been more than "close to legend" potential. He has been since 2012 the club talisman, I fear the fallout from this continuing story.
I don't have a problem with Lampard exerting his authority over players who get out of line. In fact, it can be a benefit to get rid of players quickly when they start to create a bad atmosphere in the dressing room.
My complaint is that we are selling Luiz to Arsenal. For what - £8M? If we have to get rid of him, I'd prefer that we went without a fee - and sold him abroad somewhere. I don't understand why we keep selling players to our direct rivals - Cech, Matic etc. Arsenal do the same with us I suppose - god knows why they sold us Giroud.

Let's see if Luiz can play without a proper sitting midfielder. We were torn apart in quite a few games last year because he and Jorginho had absolutely no idea defensively.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

OK, if that's your opinion. Luiz cannot defend - that's mine. He's also suspect positionally and his concentration is awful.

Selling a 32 year old Luiz is fine by me. The fee and the club he's gone to does not sit well with me but I think it's going to be Okay. No point in playing him in place of younger hungrier players with potential. It's time to try these home grown players and moving Luiz on can only help that happen.
