Sandy! Hope you're well mate!
Is it nice to eat the humble pie?

It's now wait and see on Eriksen situation but above all, we got our targets

I’m still not satisfied with our RB situation.

Have little faith in Foyth, KWP or Aurier

Would love to win something in our first year in the new stadium. I'll take anything.... would be happy with the LC. Hopefully improved squad depth, easier summer for most of the squad and subsequently an easier time with injuries will make for an exciting season.

I'm really looking forward to seeing something different (last year CL aside) was pretty turged esp in the league. GLC & NDombele are exciting players and will be great to see what Poch can do with the undoubted talent Sessegnon has. Kane Looks fired up, even Eriksen (should he stay) will need to raise him game from last season if he wants his big free agent day day. Huge pressure now on Dele to get his shlt together (Lets have that nasty streak back pls)

Hopefully a little more effort in the domestic cups & greater consistency in the league will give us a top 4 finish & some silverwear

welcome back Sandy, if and it looks very likely we loose Eriksen then I dont think we have really progressed enough to challange the top 2 expect a similar outcome to last season a fight for CL places, other clubs around us have spent big money too of course that doesnt always equal success

I have only seen glimpses of GLC and never seen Sessgnon as wing back, so new outlook for the team that I can now watch and analyse and enjoy

Can't wait for the game to kick-off, though Poch will not play GLC from the start and Sessegnon might not eve feature.

Ndombele I expect him to start the game v Villa.

Oh, and Eriksen too!

I am not myself happy with the right back position myself, not so much with the personnel themselves, I think all three are upgrades on Trippier, but that two of them are injured. Although I think with the bulking up of the midfield with the new players coming in, the defence may not come under so much pressure.

Two problems that need sorting are the defending of set piece corners and the conversion of goals to chances created needs to be upped. Other than that I am fairly happy, providing we don`t get any more early season injuries.

Eriksen is still there mate. He had the chance for United apparently, so expect him to stay this season now. If he wants to go on a free next season, then so be it. Another season out of him probably mitigates the £50 million the club may have got this season.

I certainly do not think Liverpool are of any different level to Spurs. They had one good season last season, have not strengthened this season, so would expect Spurs to at least match them this season. Just my opinion, but I don`t think Liverpool`s squad is as good as Spurs, and with a few injuries like Spurs had last season, will not be losing only one game this season.

Yeh bit a of nonsense really at two of our new players will not probably feature tomorrow. Had all summer to sign them, and then leave it until the last hour. But hey ho it is what it is. A couple of matches without them will not hurt.

Poch needs to pick one of KWP, Aurier or Foyth when fit and absolutely stick with them. Rotating all three will be a complete nonsense.

I think Spurs fans need to come back to earth ever so slightly. I'm pretty neutral, i like Spurs but they have done no more than the absolute bare minimum this summer. Talk of catching Liverpool or City isn't realistic.

Replaced Dembele
Got a replacement for Eriksen
Added Sessegnon
Lost first choice RB without replacing
Lost back up striker without replacing
Bought Clarke and loaned out.

Still comfortably the 3rd best team but Arsenal have improved a lot more over the window. Still won't have enough to catch Spurs but should see off Chelsea and United.

Would like to see Aurier be this season's Sissoko. Hopefully Poch can bring the best out of him and he remains fit. A lot of "If's" but it is possible. Really hoping Lamela finally pushes on and remains healthy too.

Will be interesting to see if Eriksen is included on Saturday. I don't think he should if he is leaving and Lamela has been playing well in pre season. GLC hopefully to come on off the bench.

Liverpool had one good season, previously Spurs had always finished above Liverpool for much of the decade, Catching Liverpool is very realistic. Spurs have improved a fair bit in the transfer market. Two really big signings, and none of their better players leaving. I would be very surprised if Spurs are not on par with Liverpool at the very least this season, their team revolves around their front three and VVD, any sort of injuries to those four, would leave them short.

oh the RB situation is a joke... but its what Poch wanted so he must have a plan

Arsenal have improved in some areas. Think people are easily over sighting the fact they lost Koscielny and Randy. Two of their first 11 in recent years. Whilst also losing Iwobi - whom stats for dribbling are as good as any

Let`s cut to the chase Chronic, Poch really has never had a clue about the full backs since Walker left. So I doubt he has any sort of plan, but as I said with the strengthening of the midfield, the defence, including the full backs may not come under so much pressure.

Arsenal will always be hanging around, and certainly not discounting them, but they seem to be cobbling together a squad, good or bad, without really strengthening big time in places that are needed. They have just spent £70 million on another forward, when it is quality defenders they need.

Agreed. On paper he's the best of the 3 right back candidates by a country mile. It's up the player now, though. If he gets his mentality sorted and can stay injury-free, you have to think the RB slot is his to lose.

Agree with Sandy too - rotating those three would be a really bad move. If there's one thing that all three of them will need, it's a consistent run to get some form going. Pochettino needs to pick one and stick with it for a good run of games.

Agreed..... It does seem odd that we were prepared to spend 150mln this summer(assuming we buy GLC) and not go after a RB having sold Trips early

I do wonder if we are gonna play with back 3 and flood the midfield.... Probably the most fluid system in the Middle for both GLC & NDombele to create while allowing Sessegnon to play higher up on one side and giving more cover to either Foyth or KWP on the other. Foyth is good on the ball going forwards & Having Toby behind him might help his defending... who knows... But nice to have lots of options
