Arsenal gives no further info. Police investigate

I'd much prefer Kola over Monreal but Ozil being guaranteed not to play is probably a good thing. Seriously though how can a club with our resources not ensure that they get to the stadium safely?

Mirror reports:

Ozil and Kolasinac did not train on Friday ahead of the trip to Newcastle after receiving further threats and both have been left traumatised and in shock by the incidents.

Other Arsenal players were told Ozil and Kolasinac were given time off because of ongoing security fears.

This is preposterous.

I can’t believe sc+mbags can effect the team we put out.

Understand Ozil and Kolasinac are both safe and unharmed - but they have been targeted more than once, in separate incidents over the past couple of days.

Clearly the same people doing this. Might not see them play until they’ve been caught which might be a while

Why don’t they just hire ex sas bodyguards to guard their properties while they are away? Oh and a couple of Rottweilers each while they are at it. At least until these cretins are caught

Ozil now has private security deployed at his home. Can’t imagine the whole situation was helped by TV cameras being camped outside beaming pictures of his house across the world for all to see after the initial attack.

Think Ozil's closeness to the Turskish PM may something to do with this.

So how does that explain Kolasinac also having similar threats

True. Maybe they look at them as a pair now after the first incident. There are so many possibilities cause of their profile. I suppose thats what the police are investigating.

Very strange tbh. Even if it just gangs. awfully big risk for the sake of a car! And hampstead is full of more expensive ones.

This won’t be about cars now, it’ll be about pride and saving face after being shown up as cowardlycunts on the internet.

Hopefully the police will get up off their fat arses now and find these facks.

People laughed about how Kola saw them off unarmed, but I worried at the time that that’s all good if it’s just chancers they were dealing with.

Clearly that isn’t the case.

Of course, of all 20 teams in the PL, we had to be the ones with this bizarre story,
Ozil now has his ready-made excuse to be garbage for months.

Doesn't send out a great message to anyone of normal means if the likes of footballers are unavailable due to threats.

With Ozil nothing is a surprise but Kolasanic isn't a fannny and to be ruled out a match shouldn't be on.
