I wonder if we will be the first side to finish a season on minus points? Right decision for the players but all the greedy so and sos trying to squeeze every last penny out of the club should be ashamed of themselves. Football ventures in particular. Disgraceful.
Not surprised as duty of care falls on the admins as employers they wouldn’t risk a lawsuit. We’ve got to expect more games being called off now until it’s all over we might see a game in between postponements if we are lucky but you never know what tomorrow will bring.
But can’t see this being over until after the court case and the judge has written up the full judgement.
We could be in a bit more trouble with the EFL now, as the Admin team didn't bother consulting with them nor Doncaster before issuing a public notice of not being able to fulfil tomorrows fixture.
Wonder if it will now be classed as a forfeited game?
Heard that on the radio on the way home. Jack Dearden gave a right rant, worth listening to on that sounds thing. Think it had just gone 6.30. How hard and deep are the efl going to screw us for this one? Amateurs or what these administrators? Anyone got any lube?
The admin team alone should take this one on the chin, but you can bet the club will be held accountable.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p07jghfb this one? From about 30 minutes in.
Bound to be punished how hard is the question now.
If it's just the welfare duty of care issue shouldn't Appleton have approached the EFL and pointed out their rules and all the training manuals for badges etc then the EFL would surely have had to agree to it. Makes you think there could be more to this that would prevent the game going ahead are we low on money and safety cert in doubt or something.
I will just leave a link here.

What's LB really up to is he seriously wanting the club perhaps the BEN and the Trust should arrange to meet him and try to shed some light on all this time and effort he's spending on the club if nothing else its a foot in the door for them if LB ends up having a future role to play in all this.

It makes sense to keep it all under one company but reading between the lines of what has been done so far with the hotel its as if they have set it up to be split with the aim of achieving a higher price for the hotel alone.
This two sets of admins has been a disaster from the start.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who was responsible for splitting the hotel away from the club?
Perhaps BooHoo wants the club to fold so that they can demolish the stadium and extend the retail park. Who are they, have they any interest in a football club and what would the legal ramifications be if the club was bought by another entity and they bought the Hotel. Could they allow their guests to see the games or watch concerts or other events being held at the stadium?
The situation is just getting worse. Another two weeks at the very least before matters are sorted but quite honestly, I don't expect matters to be sorted any time soon. In the meantime, FV could decide to walk away and despite the delays to date, that could spell disaster for the club.

Interesting question that. It turns out it has been set up that way from the very start when the stadium was first built. Companies House docs from the early days suggest it was a joint venture between BWFC and Greenall Leisure. Many reasons why businesses run subsidiary companies - isolating risk for example - but in this case I presume part of the reason was to crystallize Greenall's stake as an investor in the hotel business.
I haven't ploughed through all the annual returns but I assume at some stage along the way BWFC bought out Greenall's so that Whites became a wholly-owned subsidiary - but still a separate company.
Anyone who turns up to see Bassini tonight needs a good talking to. And I include the man himself in that.

Tried to link a Facebook link. Basically bassini rambling into a red megaphone. Guys guys guys. Let me tell you something. Doesn't answer questions but just rambles off on a tangent. Absolute loon.
Another mid week reached everything looks to be coasting to the court date will anybody gamble on grabbing the hotel now especially after the EFL have given Bury a big push.
Perhaps its the future for the EFL suspend clubs drop them down and allow them to rebuild rather than send them to the wall giving them the best chance they can to survive no doubt not all will survive but it would be giving everybody a chance wouldn't it.
Is that better than having reformed clubs popping up all over the place the way things are that looks like its coming.

Ye olde pasty, Bury won’t be suspended, they will be expelled from the football league.
The EFL has a lot to answer for. They allowed Anderson to take the club after saying that he had the means to sustain the running of the club for two years. With the debts that he allowed to mount up and further borrowing from Eddie Davies, it would seem that the EFL test is not fit for purpose.
Regarding the latest postponed game against Doncaster, you would have expected the EFL to know the rules regarding academies and the young player. They should have been the ones saying that the young players could not break the rules. However, that doesn't vindicate whoever made the decision to call the game off before contacting the EFL and Doncaster Rovers.
Regarding Bassini, there seems to be an underlying reason why he wants the club so badly. Where has his affinity for our club come from? As far as anyone knows, he has had no connection with the club previously. As fas as I can ascertain, he isn't from the Bolton region or even from the North West of England.
You don't just fall in love with a club and want to save it for no valid reason, So, what is he up to? I suggest, no good will come from his involvement but I confess that the way matters are unfolding if FV doesn't get their fingers out soon, Bassini may be the only one left standing.
Jack Dearden said in the interview that new information had come to light with the takeover. That could mean anything but he also said what we all know, It's time FV came out and made a statement of intent or otherwise. At least we would know which way the wind is blowing.
Parky n Parkin gone, left the club
Don't blame them. Impossible job. Been screwed over by football ventures. Impossible job. Looks like jimmy Phillips will get the caretaker job probably with Jules as his assistant.
Can't blame anybody for going they must have better thigs to do than cope with what's going on at the moment.
Don't blame them and I admire them for sticking around as long as they did and trying to keep the place going despite not having been paid themselves. For all his faults it is clear from his post match interview at the weekend that Parky cared about the job and the club. But everyone has their limit.
So thanks for all your efforts Phil (and team). The promotion season will live long in the memories, as will the great escape the season after.
I don't blame them but almost everyone on this forum wanted to be shut of them. I wish them well but I can't say that I'm not pleased. For me, it's sorted one of our problems.
The correct way would have been a takeover pay them up what they are owed new broom thanked for their service I'd have been happy with that.
Forcing anybody to quit their job is not right this is just another thing that reflects badly on the club.
