Keanu believe it?

This could be good, didn't think the sequels were THAT bad. The more Keanu the better.

Second one was decent.

Third one was the same, but with far less action leading to it being crap.

First one is in my top 3 movies of all time. Second one was OK by comparison. Third was just abysmal.

A fourth just seems pointless, but why not I guess. It's been so long that it cant really 'ruin the legacy' - a bit like Terminator 3 onwards.

Yeah, loved the first one too. Had no idea what it was actually about when I was a kid, I just loved the action scenes. When I watched it back later I realised how great it was

I do wonder what the plot will be. Rumours doing the rounds of there being a young Morpheus too.

The matrix would be one of my favourites too.

I grew up hooked to comic books and similar stuff. The first one was just magic to me and no matter how crap this one is gonna be, I'm definitely gonna go.

There was talk of Michael B. Jordan replacing Keanu.

That would have been terrible and Michael is a limited actor IMO. Glad Keanu is back for this one.

First one was like groundbreaking stuff...the sequels were never going to match or better it.

Considering the new wave of conscious individuals and being woke and whatnot...there's potential for this one to be good.

Didn't Neo die at the end of 3 with the story being fully concluded as well ? Just saying.

yeah plus they defeated the machines, unless the machines had a back up system and nobody thought about that

They didn't defeat the machines, Neo made a peace deal with them in exchange for destroying Smith.

Maybe the machines bring Neo back to life as a part machine bad guy to do their bidding.

Unless they have a brilliant idea and good reason to bring this back then it should have been left well alone imo.

The string of turkeys including the likes of Jupiter Ascending and Speed Racer from the Wachowski's is also a big concern.

I'd prefer someone else was doing this sequel tbh. Although I'll happily eat my words if it's any good of course.

Not that excited for Avatar getting 3 or 4 new sequels either.

Those Avatar sequels have been in development for a decade

Tbh I think their moment has come and gone although the great James Cameron is involved/directing so if anyone can bring a dormant franchise back to life it's him I suppose.

If you've never seen it you should watch the short animations on YouTube called second renaissance part 1 and part 2. A bit gruesome in places but details the events that led to the machine war and the war itself.

Having now seen a trailer, I think the writers just decided to ignore that the previous ending was just that.
