According to reports we have the option to dismiss him at the end of this season without taking a major financial hit
I'm more than ready to give him every chance to succeed but if after two years there is no clear plan and the team selections are still completely awful then he needs to go
We were always going to lose against Pool, they're simply better than us and by some distance, plus they were at home. All that said the set up was hilariously amateurish and that is the part that's not acceptable.
Substitutions drove me insane yesterday. Why wait when it was so obvious that something needed to change? It genuinely felt like Wenger all over again.
I'd have brought on Kolasinac and switched to wing backs at half time. It was so obvious that Monreal was done at LB, Salah made him look like a pensioner time and time again. Playing as the 3rd CB hes able to anticipate the game a little better and can mask his declining pace/strength/stamina. I'm not a fan of 3-4-3 but personally think it's the perfect formation vs Liverpool.
Prepared to give Emery this season to implement some kind of "identity" as Bellerin/Tierney are so important to us.
That said, we've been playing with a makeshift RB/RWB for the bulk of the past 2 or 3 seasons now. Can't think of any other club who would let the same issue effect us season after season. I feel pathetic arguing with friends about AMN being decent but not playing his position... its the only position opposition fans know him to play we've had him there that long.
Still got to put yesterday into perspective. Pool are miles ahead of us and our objective is to improve enough to break into the top 4. Away games vs mid table & below will be the true marker of that. I'm still positive we can do it
I'm a big fan of Emerys Sevilla side as it resembles one of my alltime favorite teams (2000s Valencia under Cuper/Benitez), but at Arsenal he seems to be a bit confused on how to play his high line, pressing, quick counter game. I can still see he wants to play this particular style, but the defense due to lack of quality or gelling is not nearly disciplined enough yet to do it without leaking too much goals. Another problem is that the current midfield is not good enough to break down teams parking the bus when there are less opportunities to counter. His sevilla side had 2-3 hardworking but creative midfielders, at arsenal maybe only torreira?
The only time we have looked potent going forward under Emery is when we play a back 3 and kolasinac as the wing back.
He has killed off our central game as there is virtually no creativity through the middle
Before every big away game I am always worried that Emery will overcomplicate things with the team and formation. Surely he must, by now, have an Ideas as to how he wants us to play

Disagree.
We let them play with their FB's moving forward time and time again. Neither of Willock or Gwendouzi picked them up and kept the pressure that came from their flanks away from our FB's.
You can't prevent Salah doing his things the whole game. He is that good.
Playing from the back and let them have the midfield and press, press, press wasnt the best tactic allthough it worked almost until HT for us.
“If there are no improvement by the end of the season and top 4 is not achieved, he will have to be shown the door“
I’m worried than you’re claiming not to have seen any progression, whether that be squad or playing style. Do you honestly think the job emery has was going to be achieved in 1 season? 90% of the 10 users on this board are so unbalanced no wonder it’s a ghost town.
