Thats a rule change, nothing to do with VAR. But yea Tilemans should of been sent off, no idea why he wasn't.

Soccer Sat went mad that he didn't get a red. Jeff has been critical of it all season.
The Lansbury goal being disallowed was shocking. Jack is fouled twice yet manages to get the ball to Lansbury before he hits the ground, yet is booked for diving.
Palace were the better side overall, it wasn't one of our better days, but it should have been 1-1

I’m not sure it is a rule change given the PLs interpretation is different to IFABs. If it is though, then VAR didn’t overrule the Newcastle one today...
I haven't seen the Grealish incident today but it does sound like you were hard done by.
Hopefully these things will even themselves out over the season
Just seen it again it is pitiful.
And that Dullard Walton says it was Grealish's reputation
The referee should make his decision on what occured not what he thinks he will do?
More I see it the more it grates.
They say the referee had blown so the goal couldn't count, but on the replay the refs hands get nowhere near his mouth and they struggled to hear a whistle on the replays.

It would've been handy for the ref to be in the replay shown continuously tbf, rather than dipping out of view for a second or so at the time of the whistle being blown, purely for absolute clarity.
That said, it was still a crap decision but no doubt we'll all be on the end of a few as the season progresses
PS ..............and i agree with the title, **** VAR. It seems to be more trouble than it's worth.
The referee considered that Jack Grealish committed an act of simulation in the penalty area, and blew his whistle to stop the game before the ball went into goal.
Unbelievable
Kevin Friend insisted he had a ‘clear view’ of the controversial Jack Grealish incident as he was confronted by furious Aston Villa players at Selhurst Park.
The referee ruled out a last-gasp Villa equaliser against Crystal Palace when he punished Grealish for what he perceived to be a dive leading up to Henri Lansbury’s disallowed goal.
Grealish hit the deck before the ball found its way to Lansbury and Friend punished the Villa captain with a yellow card for simulation and awarded a free-kick to Palace.
Feck me what a twot. He reminds me of those wanting a new referendum on brexit

It was an absolutely appalling decision and anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.
Grealish was barged by Zaha, managed to stay on his feet, got a pass off to Lansbury but ultimately went tumbling as he was off balance. No dive whatsoever, he never asked for a penalty, him and Cahill collided but it was no foul either way. Friend is an absolute pr*ck and should have just let play go on from which we scored, we were cheated of a point even if on the balance of play we probably didn't deserve one. Then again, if the refereeing hadn't been so corrupt the game would almost certainly have been more evenly matched as Friend kept giving Palace the 50/50 decisions.
VAR clearly is still failing to spot injustice and I feel it will take many tweaks to the technology before they get it right.
It's disappointing that we haven't picked up anything from Bournemouth and Palace, two games that on other days we would have got at least a point from.
Hopefully we can right the wrongs of the last game by beating the Spammers, a very top heavy team but I fancy us against their defence

Didn't have you down as a Brexiteer Andy still I'd agree that another referendum will not resolve the problem
Barnsley....traditionally these are the games and the teams we mess up against....typically, we drop points, after putting in such a good display
Wouldn't it be just be perfect to carry on from such a great result today, by making sure we follow it up with a resounding win at home against a 'not much fancied team'
PLEASE Forest, don't mess this one up
This weekend sums it up get rid
