We list a game of football away in the CL against a more than decent team. It happens and it certainly happens to us in CL group games. We also win loads more than we lose. Like loads.
First goal was always likely to win it. Thought we played well, and shoeed greater quality, but they did better at both ends. Fair play.
Should be an entertaining game at Anfield based on that.

We lost today because the front 3 unusually ballsed up our chances when they came along and then the ref decided to reward the Italians for their cheating.
Unfortunately if you miss chances you leave yourself open to something like that happening.
We'll qualify easily if we can keep up the performance level though.

==========
Right well you need to have a word with Klopp then because there are four or five midfielders we habe who've all hit double figures in their career. It's down to him how and when he plays them, not the personnel available.
18/19 season goals (all comps)
Milner 7
Wij 5
Fab 1
Hendo 1
Keita gets a pass given injury.
We scored 111 goals last season (not inc OGs) and 12% of those came from midfield. 8% came from defence.
It’s not sacrilege to suggest that we might need options or a change in tactics to beat stubborn teams.

We lost today because the front 3 unusually ballsed up our chances when they came along and then the ref decided to reward the Italians for their cheating.
Unfortunately if you miss chances you leave yourself open to something like that happening.
We'll qualify easily if we can keep up the performance level though.

Is this the best front 3 in the world that ballsed up?

Midfield is the problem in games like this, they don’t create and score anywhere near enough.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
VVD scored more goals than Wij, Fab, Keita and Hendo last season.
And who’s the creative spark in midfield against these stubborn well drilled sides who keep TAA and Robertson pushes back?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So? What they did meant we won the CL and finished one point behind in the league. One game lost doesnt mean the midfield is the reason. Our midfield played well, better than Napoli's and yet we lost. Explain that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t say the midfield didn’t play well. I said that we don’t have the creative spark in midfield to open up these types of teams; and that our midfield doesn’t score enough goals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So then how the fack did we do it all of last season? What do you want? A change of tactics? A different player brought in? Move away from what worked last season and has been working this season?

Mate stop with the wumming. Its obvious.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You need to learn to read as well. I didn’t say we played badly, nor did I say the midfield was poor. What I said is that our midfielders don’t score enough goals. What they do they do well; but occasionally, like tonight when they front 3 aren’t playing well, you need a midfielder to chip in with a goal or a creative spark

We lost there last season as well and we played a lot worse in that match too.

Yes and I think its silly. Assuming you want the front 3 to keep thrir scoring rate how many goals as a team do you think we should be scoring a season?
130?
150?
Genuine question.

Just one more goal from the midfield last season, against the likes of Leicester, Everton or West Ham would have seen us win the league.
It’s not about how many, it’s about when.

Didn’t say instead. Why can’t it be in addition to? You know, like we have Origi in addition to any of the front 3.

Not sacrilege, idiocy, considering what we are doing with the players and tactics we've been using the last year.
