Not too many clubs with active JA606 boards in League 1, so we will, in good spirit, combine and use this as the DPL for the game.

We have dipped and Peterborough have made a good recovery from their bad start, scoring goals and letting quite a few in too.

They thrashed Rochdale last weekend yet conceded most of the possession, so we know what to expect - an entertaining game.

How we will respond to the disappointment of Tuesday will be key to the outcome and I cannot imagine Posh will have any inclination to park the bus.

We need to be on our toes and confident, but keep the organisation tight at the back. If we do, we may shade it, but I think it will be close,

Optimistically I’ll say 3-2 and put my faith in Taylor/Anderson.

My three criteria are a good game, a good Donny performance and a good result. This one ticked all the boxes. Unlike Blackpool, who came not to lose, fair play to them, Peterborough came to win. Given that they have the top three scorers in the division with 19 goals between them it could hardly have been otherwise. Rovers were undaunted and set about unpicking the Peterborough back line. James and Taylor combined well down the left to get a couple of good chances but the goal, when it came, was from the other wing. A fast break saw Sadlier centre the ball for Coppinger, of all people, to head it in. Stung, Peterborough came storming back but not long afterwards it was Rovers who scored again. This time Sadlier got past his man on the right wing and arrowed towards goal unleashing a fierce low shot under their keeper's body. Fergie brought on two players at half time, and their No10 caused all sorts of mayhem but Rovers defended stoutly from front to back. Everyone was in front of the goal tackling and blocking. There were quite a few stoppages but only five minutes of added time during which we should have had a third goal. Ennis broke away and centred the ball for an unmarked Whiteman to shoot past a stranded keeper. With the whole goal at his mercy he hit the post. Sadlier, with a goal and an assist got MoM but there wasn't a player out there who didn't play his socks off for the team. Dieng was untroubled in goal and Anderson turned in yet another immaculate display, but hats off to Niall Ennis. He battled on his own up front from start to finish. He was battered, and I suspect he will be covered in bruises but he never stopped showing for the ball, tacking defenders running into the corners and shooting on the few occasions he got a sight of goal. Brilliant.

Silence from me because of problems with my internet provider - and they cannot come to solve the problem till Oct 1! When I can get a strong enough cellular signal I can send messages on my iPhone, but not good enough for video. From the text on BBC I,d gathered our GK had little to do.

Well done to the lads.

Great win .
I await all the reports

Whenever we win, the opposition camp reports that they had an off-day. Lincoln, Rotherham, Ipswich and now Peterborough had the same misfortune. What a coincidence.

On the other hand, although we beat them all, were we having a good, average or even a bad day too?

It could be coincidence that thus far we are so very fortunate as to have met all our top-half rivals when they under-perform and we play better.

Or, we are (perhaps inexplicably) just better than they are.

Well that was a game to remember, thought we'd get beat after our performance v Blackpool, but, what a transformation.
Fergie summed it up when he said, Donny were like Barcelona 😂😂

With 26 our current topscorer, me thinks we still need that experienced striker.

Thank you guys for your comments, and sorry for the delay in replying. It seems that the wheels fell off our bus. Donny deserved to win - at least it was an away defeat for us. Look forward to the replay, on Boxing Day, I believe.
