I don't see how we can compete just yet although the dynamic duo do seem to be getting matters right in training. Still, we can always hope that we can get a result.

Got my ticket this morning. There wasn't an awful lot of spaces remaining in the Lofthouse Lower about an hour and a bit ago. Nearly tempted to go in "mad corner" but I'll leave that for the kids.

From what I've been told of Tuesday our pace of play is a darn sight better than previously.

Had a wander this season, one game in the lofthouse, 2 in the east stand. Never really comfortable so back to my season ticket seat I have had for years today.

Enjoying the football again. On the balance of things happy with a draw as Sunderland could have had another pen, missed a couple of first half sitters and a world class save by Matthews. If we could get these strikers fit hall, O'Grady and Murphy will have a better chance of winning games. Up against it late on with Sunderland having attacking options on the bench while we had midfielders and defenders.

The great escape is it on? Looking at the table we are 15 points and goal difference from safety, 36 games to make up that deficit. Add into the equation possibility of more points deducted, at least 6 is my guess. How hard have we had to work for the 3 points actually earned this season? One positive out of the 8 games we have played is we have played 4 out of the top 5 already. Personally I think its too much to do but at least the future is looking brighter now. Next Saturday Portsmouth away. Looking a 6 pointer or should that be a minus 6 pointer as I never got the hang of adding and subtracting minus and plus numbers at schools.
