Ah, thought it was Doc's cross for the second, just saw Foster flapping and the cheer go up!
The handball in the first half looked certainly looked a pen neither ref or linesman looked remotely interested though, very strange.

Nor VAR presumably

No, God knows what the rule is now. It wasn't a point blank ball to hand by any means.
Leon missed sitter. Joke striker. ....
Positives from today's game:
Saiss didn't get a yellow card
Boly looked a little more comfortable on the right than last time.
Clean sheet
Neto looks like he is going to be a player
Most importantly, Doherty and Traore seem to have found a way to work together without treading on each other's toes.
Doherty was immense today.
Negatives:
Only one really. Why oh why do we take our foot off the gas when we get a goal in front?
We drop deep and invite pressure on us. Watford were there for the taking today. After the first goal went in we should have kept pushing forward and won the game 3-0, 4-0, 5-0 who knows?
Do we feel sorry for the opposition when we get in front?
Nuno needs to show the players the Man City v Watford video to show them how a team goes for the jugular - no mercy!!!!!
To be fair to Saiss he was lucky not to get a yellow card for one challenge in the second half
And with regard to taking our foot off the gas let’s not forget this was the first time we had been in front in a league game this season. And it was so important to hold onto that lead. Although Watford had a lot of the ball second half they rarely looked like scoring so we won with some comfort. And we aren’t as good as Man City.
The problem with this formation is one we saw in the early part of last season. With only two in central midfield we don’t control the game. And with two wide players and one striker we often see a penalty area with one attacker and three defenders. It’s got us three points today but I don’t see playing this way as a route to the top half of the table.
another positive
we manged to play a team who are bottom of the league without losing to them
The win is all that matters today, hopefully some style will come into it as we move forward but I really don't see us finishing top half this term.

Didn't see the game but looks like you were outplayed by the team bottom of the league? Your style of play isn't going to keep getting you wins, it's on borrowed time. At some point you're going to need to adapt the way you play like we did. To concede 61% possession, more shots and more corners against a team struggling at the bottom of the table isn't a good sign.

Wolves planning audacious swoop for Odegaard...

Doubt if we will have many more important results all season than yesterday. A loss would have seen us go bottom and a draw would have left us 19th. Both those results would have put the club under a lot of pressure. The win put us 13th and just 4 points off 4th.
Interesting to hear Nuno’s comment after the game when asked how relieved he was to finally win. We have won lots of games this season was his reply. And of course it’s true. We have now played 15 competitive games and won 7, drawn 5 and lost 3. Equivalent of 26 points from 15 games. Some easy games in there of course but still matches to be won and if we had that record over a premier League season it would last year have had us on the same number of points as Man Utd in 6th
not a new observation but i thought raul looked stale and could benefit from a couple of games rest - not surprising considering his schedule over the last months
Raul hasn’t been at his best in recent games although I don’t think the current formation suits him well as he is isolated with two wide players and no support. Good that Mexico have decided not to select him for the October and November internationals so he can have a break
Seems that Jota missed yesterday because of a knock he got before the Palace game. Good job we decided to leave him in for that game as he got the late equaliser
Yesterday’s “Samosa Saturday” raised over £5300.00 for dementia charity. What was left over went to homeless. @singhwhenyourewinning
That's an awful lot of samosas
Lot of the media linking Wolves with a move for Martin Odegaard in January. He has been on the books of Real Madrid for 3 years but has spent most of that time on loan. Two years in the Dutch top flight and this year in Spain with Real Sociedad who are having a very good season. He became the youngest player ever to play for Norway when he was only 15 and is considered one of their best ever prospects

Yes, I announced that earlier today, with a link to the Mirror. Sounds like a good addition if it comes off. Shows the club is still keen to build on what we’ve so far achieved. The days of scratching for bargain buy, like Doc, Kightly, Henry, Jarvis etc., are passed, although I hope we’re still looking out. That boy at Brentford looks good - hat-trick today (albeit 3 headers) π€ and top scorer in the league.
I wonder if we still have scouts out looking at players in the lower leagues? Seems like years since we unearthed any gems like the players listed above by bute.
I'm sure there are some talented youngsters in League Two that could be stars of the future. Shame they never get a chance now.
regret that we seemed not to be in for maddison

Think a lot of people must have done that. Did they really make over £5k worth of samosas?
