I really like Norwich manager, Daniel Farke. Has got them playing excellent football. Sheffield United’s manager is very good too, taken them from league 2 and didn’t make many, if any, signings over the summer if i remember correctly?

Both need to prove a lot more before they’d be considered for a job like united but both are ones to keep an eye on imo

Poch will go to Madrid once Zidane is ousted.

Allegri is the clear option, results would be much better, but I’m not sure performances would be any better than they were under Jose.

Why would we want Poch to replace Zidane? We want to win stuff.

Do you not think pochettino, with the players at Madrid and funds for further improvement, would win stuff?

Ramos and Marcelo would get Poch the sack for telling them to run.

Seriously?

We could use a guy like Poch right now for two main reasons:

1. His track record at bringing through youngsters. He might be able to build a team based around some of the youngsters we've currently got hanging around or out on loan ...Odegaard, Rodrygo, Kubo... he also might even make a footballer out of Vinicius (if he can't I doubt anyone will) ... and hopefully he'd make good use of our academy.

2. His ruthlessness when it comes to shipping out players no matter their name or status

I am not too bothered right now about who comes in, first thing is to clear out some of those who have overstayed or are close to overstaying their welcome.

Another excellent, well-balanced article from the best poster on the United board right now

Unless Uncle Flo specifically brings him in to do that job.

Marcelo would probably be first out the door. I don't think Kroos, Modric and Ramos would be too far behind. And Benzema not long after.

And put Bale at left back, where he belongs.

I wonder how Poch would deal with egos at Madrid. He’s not had to manage anything like it before. It’s the one area of Zidane’s management that I think has been pretty faultless, even the situation with Bale, it’s not led to dressing room revolts and he’s brought him and James back into the fold, despite him exiling them.

Also one thing I’ve wondered with Pochettino is how he’d work with top wingers. He’s never coachef one that I can think of, and always played with attacking midfielders or forwards that play wide rather than wingers like Bale and Hazard.

Didn’t Poch talk about the issues with Osvaldo at Saints and how his ego really put him off dealing with them in the future? And he wasn’t even that good, an ego like Ramos must be so much harder to deal with.

He also didn't bat an eyelid when he stripped Raul Tamudo of the captaincy at Espanyol.

Tamudo was and is a club legend - an academy product who to this day he is still the player who's worn the Espanyol jersey most times in the top flight and is still their all-time top scorer.

He also scored both goals in a shock 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou that had handed Madrid the league title in '07. That's about as close an Espanyol fan can get to seeing his own team win the league.

Oh, and he signed Osvaldo to replace him.
