Honoured to get a mention, thanks

Looking forward to this one, interested to see if you know who(s) get a start?

FWIW I think the club and Cocu have handled it all admirably. I was amazed they featured at Barnsley and didn’t necessarily agree with it. Certainly didn’t applaud or sing their songs

Anyway, in Cocu we trust.

The recent selection debacle has further reminded me that I am purely a consumer and not a contributor. My opinion is of no relevance or importance to those in control of affairs and if I wish to continue supporting my team, I have no option, in the end, to just suck it up and carry on.
Any outrage is futile.
Rant over.

I would like to see Dowell get another chance. He was poor early season but I think that had he been in some of the many attacking positions we found ourselves in at Barnsley that he might have executed the final ball better than those that were on the pitch.

Roos
Bogle Davies Clarke Lowe
Bielik Dowell
Waghorn Holmes Paterson
Martin

Though could make a case for Shinnie or Knight next to Bielik. I have seen nothing really of Shinnie to form any sort of opinion. Some have written him off already, but most of those had similarly written off Paterson before he had played and he was very good last week.

More likely, Lawrence will play wide and it will be as we were on Wednesday except for Clarke replacing Bielik and Bielik replacing Huddlestone.

I like that team, Vidal.
I'm surprised that Dowell has been frozen out so much recently, not even making sub appearances

Q. Is Huddz being out a blessing?

I wonder who wrote that statement for Bennett?

posted on 4/10/19

Yep, hard to imagine those are his own words. It doesn’t mean that the sentiments in them aren’t genuine though. Apparently Lawrence was in tears after the match on Wednesday. There is no statement in his name as yet which seems odd. Maybe he wants to produce something that sounds less manufactured. We’ll have to see. If nothing is forthcoming then it doesn’t look good.

I don’t think TL can comment yet as he faces more serious charges..

Good day everyone, not going to the match today. Was disappointed both Lawrence and Bennett played on Wednesday. Ending your captain's career isn't considered serious enough for Cocu. Saw the statement on Facebook. I can perhaps forgive Bennett as he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I said at the time that I thought they should be sacked but I never thought it would happen. What is an acceptable length of time to leave them out? One match? Ten? A season? We would all have different opinions. And who does that benefit? They have now had the maximum punishment the club can impose under their contracts. Unless they were sacked then at some point Cocu would need to re-introduce them and perhaps he thinks that sooner is better then later. I can understand this although as I say I don’t agree with it. I have no idea what depth of remorse the players might have for their actions, none of us do. If they are players we don’t really like in the first place then obviously we imagine they don’t give a flick. Nor do we know what has gone on in private between Morris, Cocu and the players, including Keogh. It’s possible, for example, that they have been to see Keogh and that he has said that the best way they can make amends is to get back on the pitch and do their best for the team. It’s the kind of thing he would say.

But we don’t know. I’ll be there as usual. I don’t really know what I’ll do if they play. Generally I shout words of encouragement at the players nearest and Lawrence tends to be one of those.

Spartt along with most I didn’t agree with their inclusion on Wednesday. Keogh is as guilty as others in ending his career in getting pi55ed as pirates, not insisting they get taxis then getting in with a drunk driver without a seatbelt and letting him drive like a lunatic!

I think Cocu and the club have handled it well despite their inclusion.

I agree with Vidal

I can't see how Lawrence can remain at the club. Luckily for him, Keogh was stupid enough not to wear a seatbelt so Keogh can't sue him. That would have made it impossible for him to stay.

I think both will be made available for transfer in January.

We pay daft wages though Vidal. Not many clubs would pay the same for "damaged" players. They can sit out their contracts if they want.

posted on 5/10/19

Assuming that players are all heavily insured against the possibility of career ending injuries - would this still be valid in Keogh's circumstances? Self-inflicted, no seat belt etc.....
