United were shocking.

Parked bus and tried to score on a break. Typical relegation team performance.

With Salah we would've beaten them. No doubt about it. They are a poor team. But, we still should have beaten them even without Salah if Klopp had his team selection right. Unfit Ox Lallana and Keita did better than Henderson and Wijnaldom. Mane and Firmino were closely marked and kicked. Needed something from midfield. Ox gave us that something.

And why inform Milner didn't play?

Hendo was spot on, the ref was incredibly inconsistant against us. It was impossible to impose our game first half when he failed to give 5 fouls on us but gave 4 to them that were identical. That will kill momentum.

They were leaving the boot in, getting away with shoves, when we looked at them we got pinged.

I guess thats the benefit of playing at home in front of a large crowd with a weak ref. No wonder none of our refs get selected for big tournaments if he's meant to be one of our best.

Actually the mane goal maybe should have been given as is deflected off his thigh onto his hand as per this rule-

Players will be ‘given extra leeway’ when the ball deflects off an arm or hand.

If the ball deflects off an opponent or teammate and it’s deemed impossible for the player to move their arm or hand in time, a handball won’t be given.

That’s also the case if the ball comes quickly from a body part of their own.

United did what they had to do, but you can gaurentee the same United fans celebrating their point today, will be lambasting their players next week for not showing the same level of commitment.
Beyond the last 20 minutes, thought we were poor today, so happy with the point.
Back on track next week against Spurs at home.
Exactly the type of game we need after today.
Onwards and still top.😀
