Violence against MPs

With the language being used and the very deliberate (and successful) misleading of the public it's not particularly surprising.

What's clear is that a bad Brexit arrangement and further destruction of the UKs social security structure by the Tories will lead to thousands more needless deaths and suffering of the countries most vulnerable people.

Canceling Brexit would cause huge anger among our demographic least capable of approaching things rationally, who historically are most likely to violently revolt.

Both outcomes lead to huge issues IMO with civil unrest, the latter being more palatable obviously as it's likely to be less deadly.

Either way, this doesn't end pleasantly IMO

It's not far fetched at all to expect a "Hitler-esque" figure to rise with support of disaffected Brexit voters should the whole thing not go-ahead

A lack of tolerance - indicative with the whole Brexit debacle.

Watched a bit of Question Time last night, in Sunderland.

Turkeys voting for Christmas.

Bizarre. With a whopping fact that is set to affect their lives, they just sit there shouting LEAVE MEANS LEAVE.

On QT they mentioned the potential threat of Brexit to the 7k Nissan employees and the 30k in the food chain yet not once was the fact that 2 thirds of the workers voted leave mentioned. I couldn't believe this wasn't brought up by a single member of the panel or audience. Unless all the facts are presented the conversation is irrelevant.

It was funny when Ken Loach preached about how zero hours contracts were the scurge of the nation so Bruce asked if anybody in the audience was on one. 4 people put their hands up and 3 said they were good and fitted their lifestyle nicely.

Before Cameron put the offer on the table, most people that voted to leave had probably never lost a nanoseconds sleep about the fact we are in the EU, or really even cared. Yet it’s become such a bitter and divisive subject when, in reality it’s just ammending some trade agreements and ‘getting our sovereignty back’, whatever the fack that actually means. Life is too short to worry about this kind of crap, I’ve long since lost interest. Whether we’re in the EU or not, life will keep rolling on just like it has for thousands of years, and on a day to day basis the vast majority of us won’t even notice the difference either way, and what changes do happen we will adapt to just like people always do.

John Major predicts the UK will rejoin the EU after leaving. While I don't always agree with him, I can see that happening. But the UK won't have the influence it once did by then. The UK may not exist as it currently does by then either.

Watching QT was pretty sad, I understand people who voted Brexit feel betrayed and the longer this goes on the more they want out but those last night seem to want Brexit without really understanding the consequences that will most likely effect them more than anyone.

The IEB woman was pure evil too, I read up on her after, she basically wants to privatise the NHS and is in favour of gun control.

Loach was the only one who really seems to have sympathy for anyone and was trying to think realistically. The Lib Dem MP was pathetic, surprised no one asked her why they abstained the other day when the Torys tried to oppose Labours demand to bring in legislation to stop the NHS from being able to be privatised the other day.
