Giroud was very good for us, we needed another player to play alongside him or to replace him. When we finally got that player (aubamayang) we sold Giroud who would have been great coming off the bench.

Giroud was never good enough. His best league total of 16 goals in a season is not good enough for a CF at a club that wants to challenge for the league. He was Xhaka up front.
