Why is this on the Premier League board?
Good luck to Danny at Exeter. When he was fit I thought he was pretty good - he had a great game at Charlton last season - but just a bit too injury prone. Not sure he was "deadwood" Gashead 83. Hope he does well at Exeter.
Sorry newwayneorder. 1st thread on here. I have no idea why its in the prem board!
Eastgas, I am saying deadwood due to a shocking season last season and in my opinion he is past it now.
A good piece of business. Coles gets to play in L1 and frees up a good part of the wage bill. A bit harsh to call him deadwood but he has seldom been fully fit and performance level has been inconsistent. I also sense that the dressing room might be more unified without his presence.
No probs gashead, the layout on the "create" page is a little different to BBC606, I think "Prem League" is the default setting.
I see Rovers are looking to build a new stadium, why have they never done anything with the planning permission gained for the Memorial Ground?
Danny Coles was a class act and was the star in your shambolic season many times,he deserves respect and all ths best to him for his future career,he's a good 'un..
"why have they never done anything with the planning permission gained for the Memorial Ground?"
You could have saved yourself typing out the last nine words there with a little research.
' When the planning permissions for both sites are submitted to the relevant authorities, we will be asking you to write and email in to the councils to make your support heard.
Remember that without the sale of the land on which the current Memorial Stadium stands, we cannot go ahead with our development, so we need you to support this venture as well.'
Now don't forget to do as you're guru tells you because he's already panicking..
^^
That's a bit rich coming from the side which had petitions galore and ready printed postcards to support their bid for a new ground!
^^
'We have worked long and hard to make this scheme as water tight as possible to make sure we are able to build the home this club needs and deserves.
I now feel that we have a stadium proposal that ticks all the right boxes for the club, UWE and the wider community.
I have been encouraged by the initial enthusiasm that has greeted the project, but I am well aware that we are likely to encounter some hitches along the way.'
Don't shoot the messenger, your man is bricking himself and our campaign started after we were stuffed with all the objections, not before the planning was even lodged, like I said he is bricking himself.
To be honest I'd rather he adopted this cautious and realistic approach than the pompous, gung-ho 'don't you dare stand in our way' one which Sexstone/Lansdown adopted for the Ashton Vale proposals.
