i think we win 2- 0 comfortably
i think our press with the bridge crowd behind us will hurt them
got i an inkling we miight see the quite frankly frightening jorgi kova and kante midfield 3 with mount and willian behind tammy
imo that is the perfect set up for this game
An enjoyable watch, two good teams playing good football.
Chelsea to win but as long as there is goals i couldn't care less.
You reckon we will keep a clean sheet against Ajax ?
Yes, I know already kept a clean sheet at their place, think VAR had smth to do with this. Mind you that was one of the best performances so far this season.
Expecting a tough and tight game against a very good Ajax side.
Like the first game could be any scoreline. Both teams capable of destroying the other while simultaneously locking the other out on a good day. Draw would be a great result for us, 7pts with two games left against teams we can beat, i'll take that.
It will be great to see Ñ'golo back, but who will he replace ?

maybe as mons said, one of the front three and have mount and willy supporting tammy.
Yeah I'd take a draw as well D.A.
yeah i'd take a draw. Should be beating lille and valencia, but you never know. Each game has it's own challenges...and I officially sound like a footy manager right now.
Match that same tempo & intensity as in Amsterdam (which Ajax couldn't cope with), we win no doubt.
PL pace different levels than they are used to and comfortable with in the Dutch league.
They fear the pace.
Callum, Pulisic, Tammy will be handy running at them and/or beyond their lines again.
The same ajax team who tore apart most european teams last year due to their pace and intensity?
I know they lost a few players in the summer but are they struggling that much?
Expect a different approach from Ajax today, they will try to dictate the tempo of the game. They often play long diagonal balls to the their wingers, targeting our full backs this evening.

That's exactly the approach they tried at home, to no avail.
Struggled to dictate due to copous amount of pressure, tried the switch of play to wide players immediately under pressure.
Disrupted their build-up play throughout the match, how we won the game.

Note both mentioning pace.
I think that if Kante plays,Frank will drop Kova, for the obvious reason that Kova does not contribute in goals scored ,I like the guy and feel he has played well this season, but to me Puli is more likely to score.

Interesting feedback, mf. I suspect though, rather than "pace", what they actually mean is tempo to the game. If Ajax get on the ball, they can slow it down to a slower tempo and keep their energies for the final third. If we dictate the tempo we can wear them down as we play at a higher tempo generally.
There is no harm having players with great pace too - like CHO, Willian, Pulisic etc. But Jorginho is a good example of someone who does not have great "pace", but because he is so good technically he tends to play at a very high tempo by moving the ball so quickly.
Yes, am aware of their comments. This is precisely why I think, they will will have a different game plan this evening. Probably encourage us forward and catch us on the break ?

That would be different from their normal/usual gameplan of dictating possession then.
They aint that good. Bully them off the ball in the first 20. Hit Tammy early and often and get the ball to Pulisic.
2-0 win

I’d take their comments with the pinch of salt. They would have analysed the Man Utd approach to our game. So, they may adjust the game plan accordingly, they won’t care, as long as they get a result against us.
U19's game- Petr, Claude, Paulo F and Ashley with a pen and a pad trying to get that damn label off. Great to see them all.
When is JT coming home?

It was the pace of Lucas Moura & physicality of Llorente that ultimately hurt them last season and that's what Veltman was alluding to, when he made the correlation.
