The way he reacted I think it’s gonna take him ages to recover from it. Although a good decision, maybe that 3 game ban would’ve served him well for the time off.
Blimey. Well done to the FA.
But yes who knows if that incident didnt occur, could have won Sunday.
getting back to doing what he loves (playing football) asap will be the best medicine for him.
Son needs to understand that no one died.. the lad has had successful surgery provided at a top class facility all expenses covered and will have access to the best physical and mental treatment for him and his family... ..
perspective has to be kept.... as nasty as the injury was, injuries are a risk of their chosen profession and Son has to understand this...
You don't get your lost 2 points back though. Where is the accountability on the officials?

I personally believe that if it has effected him so much, he needs to be paying as quickly as possible. Time off would not solve the issue and would make it worse. Get him playing so he can focus on his football and the clubs results rather than dwelling on it.
Correct decision to repeal it

And some people are born with a heart and f*cking empathy.
Goes to show just how rubbish our officials are on and off the field.
Time for VAR to be scrapped as they obviously are just continuing the boys club of protecting their friends on the field

Independent commission mate, sod all to do with the F.A.
Yes and Son’s perspective was of seeing the fella’s mangled ankle, wondering if he’d ever play again, getting sent off, getting racially abused and terrified he would be blamed.
Give him a minute ffs.
A rare display of common sense applied by the league

Shows what a joke outfit the var team were. They had 6 minutes whilst Gomes wasn't getting treatment to rescind the red, but i didn't even see the var check in process come up. They even released a statement trying to defend the ref on Sunday night. Then as soon it goes to an independent review it gets overturned.
I did the exact same injury as Gomes in 2016 incidentally. I was only able to start light jogging around five months after the injury.
Gomes will have access to better treatment and recovery than me but possibly be out until next season.
time to move on from this now. we cant carry on like this as a club, its painful to watch. even when we were shiiit with worse players we werent this bad to watch.
thats good, shame the refs are the match were a joke, possibly cost 2 points
Right decision, Sonny should just jump straight back in. Not literally mind.
I think these "it cost us the game" comments are laughable, how many times have we lost a lead this season?
I'm sure regardless of how many players we had on the pitch we would have found a way to screw it up.
Correct decision - I hope the handful of people on this forum claiming it was a red card offence are suitably embarrassed.

It had a huge effect on the game though.
10 men meant Everton and the fans went right up gave them overloads.
Would we held up who knows but we sure would’ve been better equipped to do so
