The EPL is not alone in having bad refs and dodgy VAR then.

Never a penalty, his had was by his side and it took a deflection before hitting him. He then gets booked for it and VAR concurs with all this? Shambles.

Great game to watch though. Both teams played some great attacking stuff & quality too.

It was a penalty. Any handball in European football is a penalty. Everyone knows that. The yellow card was for arguing.

Isnt there the unnatural position thing and the natural silhouette thing. He certainly didnt have his arms out.

The commentator confirmed that the yellow was for the hand ball.

Was thinking the same Nick. Pens in Europe are easily given and have been since last season. Think of Man U at PSG. It's not a shock. Indeed how many years ago was Brana putting his arms behind his back whilst defending the flank and possible cross. The bitterness on here would be bewildering to some but most of us expect it now. If we won last night no one could complain. The comeback started way before the red cards btw Blind was reckless on Abraham and Veltman didn't move his arm out the way until it made contact with the ball, he knows the rules and chanced it imo.

spot on bov. Where was this outrage at the weekend when watford for a very suspect penalty. People completely ignoring ajax's tactics first half to take out our players once they went beyond them too. Could have had more yellows than they did.
