You’d get more money for him in January, United would snap your hand off.
It's unlikely he'll sign for anything less than Ozil style money and why should he?
With that in mind and his age I think we should consider cashing in despite the fact he's far and away our best player - it's one of those tough calls but provided the money was invested wisely that's what I'd do
He’ll also be 31 by the start of next season and only have 12 months on his deal. How much are you realistically looking at for him?

If we sacked our clown manager and subsequently it appeared likely we'd get top four then holding on till summer would make sense. As missing out on top four costs a side approx £40m

At this point is sacking the manager going to be enough? You spent a lot of money in the summer and a new manager would need players.
And let’s face it, you need a good couple.

Nah we sack the manager ASAP.
I think sell in the summer and give Auba a chance to win the Europa League for us... can't see top 4 happening but he'll still have decent value in the summer to allow us to buy some kind of replacement
We could still easily finish top 4. Chelsea and Leicester are hardly special teams. Obviously that’s not to say we will finish top 4 nor do I expect to finish top 4, it’s just that even with defeat to Leicester it’s not like the season is beyond salvage. We just need to sack the manager.

You lose today and Chelsea win also top 4 will begin to disappear over the horizon
Annoying thing is if we lose Auba who can we realistically replace him with? Players may not find Arsenal to be a prestigious club to join especially with no champions league football.

Yes but will we constantly attract these sort of players? That's the point I'm making. We were lucky no one else went in for Auba. That was also our first season in the Europa league so there was expectation we would be back into the champions league the following season.

You ain’t getting top 4 mate
Sixth at best Leicester, spurs, and Chelsea are all better sides than your lot.
Can you blame Auba? He has maybe two or three top years left and needs to decide if staying would be a waste. Anyone in any job would do the same.

Definitely no blame on Auba, as long as he stays professional throughout and gives us his best whilst here
