It comes down to how well Robertson and Trent play and how a Debruyn and Sterling play. I have a feeling Pep will attack this time and just like the first half of the charity shield, the Liverpool defence can be got at. Trouble is will Sterling and Aguero take their chances.

I don’t get why Klopp has gone cautious again. He seems to have thrown away his fearless approach.

I thought Ox and Gomes could get a start today.

Zinchenko is 100% first choice LB. Laporte and Ederson would be in. Rodri or Fernandinho in anchor, not both. D Silva in for Gundogan and the debatable one would be Sane or Bernardo. As I say I don’t want to use injuries as an excuse but to say we only have 2 first teamers out is simply wrong.

I think Fernandino is the one to press. He is a great midfielder but no way a cb. Runs behind him could open it up. John stones is a mix bag could be sublime or rubbish
