He isn't going to get near the level of consistency of Messi or Ronaldo at his age so there's no point talking about him.
But he is getting that level of consistency nearly as he's scoring a goal a game. You asked why he's in the conversation and that's why. I've not checked but goals this calendar year I imagine he's right up there. He'll certainly be above Ronaldo.
