In a sense he's not.

Different laws in the game apply to him.

For 85% of a domestic game the Celtic GK is literally alone.

GK can do things other 10 can’t & vice versa.

Midfield players have 4/5 competitors for place GK has 1 or 2.

I remember cursing and applauding Goram in the same heartbeat

Im not so sure about Forster? yes for sure he has made some awesome stops at important times for us, but he has also looked bloody dodgy at times too, especially with cross balls, and his kicking is horrendous like Gordons,i do think hes a better option than Bain, who i dont rate at all, but is he really any better than Gordon?Put it this way i dont think he looks as assured as he did first time around ,but then i suppose his confidence has taken a bad knock over the last couple of years.

Not sure about that quinny but they would almost certainly not have got the 9 without him.
I think people have already forgotten how brilliant he was. Even at motherwell he was still making amazing saves.
Best Scottish goalie of the last 50 years.

Forster is a must for teams who will have a go.

ie Any team in Europe.

Top 4 of Top 6.

And Cups.

Forster is light years ahead of Gordon.

I never fancied Gordon to save most shots or one on ones. I do with Forster.

Both aren’t great with crossed balls or kicking but Gordon kicks the ball like he’s wearing tight jeans, Forster at least gets close to his man.

No, I do, I said sign him up.

My point is he's one of our players and some people, not saying you try to use him making saves as a criticism, like "only reason you won was coz of Forsters saves"

Aye, thats why we try to buy a good keeper, no different than saying only reason you won is coz your striker scored a bunch of goals.

Still think the No 1 shirt is unique.

Ronnie Simpson imo was one of the weaker players 65-69.

We actually leaked a lot of goals domestically & in Europe during 9IAR.

But we always scored more thanks to a legion of peerless attacking

midfielders and world class strikers.

We don't have that now and need shovel handed GK's like FF.

Sure I read that forster and elyanoussi are both on 60-70k a week?

Ely is a wish list.

Would be defying gravity to tie him down to a contract in Scotland.

FF is eminently do-able tho.

Out of favour and underused.

His typically insane high wage could be an incentive to offload.

Only competition would be from Championship.
