The optimism is admirable, as is backing your manager.
But given what happened at Chelsea and United, it’s bordering on a little misguided imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He won the Europa League and League Cup at United.
I'd settle for that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough.
Although I think you might feel differently once he’s had hold of the club for a while.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The man's a teddy bear. Been watching documentaries about his life all night. His image has been tainted by the facking media whereas he ain't nothing like that. In the 45 minute A Day In The Life of Jose Mourinho documentary we learn that before he started out going to Lisbon he was a High School Teacher in his home town for Children with Downs Syndrome. He genuinely tells it like it is. He doesn't hide anything. Doesn't speak in riddles. Up front. Level headed. Tells the truth straight up.
Reminds us yet again never to trust the media
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No he doesn’t!
When he wins it’s down to him, and him alone and when he loses it’s everybody else’s fault.

You're watching football for the wrong reasons if you're a spurs fan who's gonna forget about Ajax away
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was fantastic at the time, but at the end of the day we won nothing and it’s a reason why other rivals always poke fun at us. Like I said, if we were to win the CL at some point, that CL campaign will be long forgotten. It’s all about winning, not coming runner up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
People can remember multiple things don
You're insane if you think that game is gonna be forgotten about just because we didn't win the whole thing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you actually read what I said instead of skimming through it, I said that if Spurs won the CL for instance, that CL run will be forgotten and to right aswell. Why the hell would you remember a CL run that we ended up losing in a disappointing final ? When we just won the damn thingmy point is it’s all about glory. Winning the CL would completely banish any CL run.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I did read what you said.
That's why I disagreed with it - we could win the champions league this season and I'd still remember last season's run. The fact that you're saying you won't honestly kinda shocks me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing shocking about preferring to actually win the thing rather than celebrating a CL run we ended up losing. Like i said, it was an amazing moment the Lucas goal, but give me a boring CL run but winning the thing over an exciting CL run but losing the thing any day of the week. Maybe your not to fussed with Spurs winning trophies like I am mate.

Mourinho's made his first mistake already: saying that Spurs don't need a striker e.g Zlatan, because they have Kane.
Kane is going to get injured at some point this season. That's just an inevitability going on past seasons and adding in Jose's more physical style of play. Fair enough Spurs have won games without him, but they've usually lost points and big matches because they've rushed him back - something they wouldn't need to do if they signed Zlatan.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he would be ideal for many reasons. Given his age he may be happy to play a bit part role just to play in one of the worlds top leagues, instead of retiring or going to China.
My guess is that Levy has said no to Ibra's huge wage demands and Mourinho is trying to make it sound like not signing him is his own decision.
Mourinho has been saying a lot of the right things so far but it is only one game in and still far too early for me to get too excited about what he might be capable of with us. There is a lot of potential for success but at the same time a lot of potential for it to go tiits up. Mourinho has never managed a club with a chairman as stingy as Levy before.
I'm just going to take each match/result as it comes.
