He’s a bigger draw than the Club...a serial winner. I fancy him to do well. Spurs are not the Egos that are United , Madrid and Chelsea the 2nd time out. He does well when he knows he is the biggest ego and rightly so...he can back it with his Loot. Its up to your players to be hungry enough to succeed since they have t really won anything and it’s up to Del Boy to back his man

You can't compare such drastically different eras of football. Players or managers there are too many variables.

Bill Nicholson never had to face clubs who have spent hundreds of millions each season to accumulate the best talent. The playing field was more level back then. You can't take away from his achievements but it's incomparable really.

Not sure he can be called our best manager since Bill Nic after one game. What he does for other clubs have no relevance unless he does it with Spurs and that remains to be seen.

5 years ago it would have been highly unlikely that Spurs could have got a manager of Jose's standing to come to the club, says allot about how far you've come and Poch deserves praise for this.

I was listening to I think it was football weeekly and some of the clubs that apparantly approached Jose were Lyon and Celtic with Arsenal also interested, Spurs are obviously a far better option for him than these clubs would have been.

Exactly. Some of these fans are getting a little too carried away with this appointment. He could win the FA Cup this season and get top 4 but I still wouldn't put him above Poch yet.

To be fair Mourinho does have a 100 per cent record since he has been at Spurs.

I think people are missing the point of this article. He’s not saying Mourinho is as good as Bill Nic because of his 1 game good start he’s saying as an appointment, Mourinho is one of the best managers in the world and that’s been proven by his achievements. He probably is the biggest achiever in terms of club football since Bill Nich. Who else have Spurs appointed that has achieved more than Mourinho ?
