Regardless of off field events, I've never seen him as good enough anyway.
For me there'd have to be a major injury crisis for him to get any meaningful gametime in front of Kante, Jorg, Kovacic, or RLC (when he returns).

Same. Never got the hype with him. Had moments last season where I thought maybe but just wound up validating my opinion.
I thought this season would've been his last chance but the team's playing so well he might not even get that chance, and with the homegrown quota no longer a problem I don't see a future for him now. With us that is, he'll have a decent career in mid table land somewhere else.
Was willing and hopeful to see him flourish...seems to play fine for England in general - but Mount is miles ahead of him
A scouser drunk in a night club !,Whoaa,whatever next ! .
Just hope that he's not a bad influence for the younger players !
Back to Everton with you Barkley.
We all kind of wondered was he really a good player or did he just look good because it was Everton and we are now confident it was Everton making him look good.
Now rinse them for their own academy talent.
Except he didn't look good for Everton for a good amount of time. Complete flash in the pan player.
Lampard says he "showed lack of professionalism". That just about sums up Barkley's career so far.
So glad we didn't get him. The guy is just a tool who doesn't use his head enough for footballing matters, or perhaps he's incapable. Overrated waste of talent. Would love to hear what Keane has to say about him.
He is so thick it defies belief. No brain on/off field
