Don’t think it was Dier’s fitness level, it was more to do with pace of Olympiacos forwards in my opinion.

Didn’t you see the state of him after 20 minutes? I love Eric, but no.
Dele’s first CL goal since November 2017.
I think his opening two games have been the ideal introduction for Jose to see what he's got to work with. Against a couple of very average teams we have played well in parts of both games and atrociously in others. If (big if) we can beat Bournemouth at the weekend then results wise it will have been a tidy start for him but this is Spurs so I expect whatever the scoreline they'll be an unnecessary drama attached.
With the Dier situation it can be spun two ways. Anti Jose, should never of picked him to start. Pro Jose, he made a selection error but rectified it early. Fair play to him I say, he made a much needed change and actually got Eriksen to put a bit of effort in.
As a side issue I have to say that I don't think Gaz is taking full advantage of his opportunity. I have always thought that with a run in the team he would turn out to be a cracking keeper but it isn't going as well as I'd hoped and last night he looked a bit dodgy.

I think their manager was Portugese too so he would have known full well who this Jose Mourinho character was he was up against so wouldn't have wanted to embarrass himself and probably wanted to make an impression. And also being in such an amazing stadium, there's that too but for sure they certainly caught us off-guard and were sharpish for a while.
Wish our fans made more noise, considering we qualified for the CL knockout stages... guess it'll take time to readjust to this new Spurs in transition. Just seems the opposing fans are more lively in these types of games.

Lo Celso , Ndombele and Lamela should be ahead of Eriksen.
I can only think Jose is trying to get Eriksen to sign a new deal or put him in the shop window so we can get a few quid for him in January. There are rumors from Denmark that he wants a January move. Still looks unlikely thou.

None of us know whats going on behind the scenes ans why players stopped playing for Poch
But its clear Eriksen showed a lot more desire last night than the last 6 months in total.
Jose has been there a week .. its gonna take time for him to get things sorted and all the players on board
some will want to leave and some will believe Jose is the man to win them things

I enjoyed last night`s game Genius, even after going 2-0 down and not playing well, I always had the feeling that Spurs would pull it back. I never had that feeling over the past year, that would have happened under the old manager.

Also he always played his favorites despite their form or how matches were going.
Our new guys does none of that. As seen last night.
Poch would have dithered over Dier at least until into the second half, and we would have lost that game.
